Exactly what this team needs. This defense needs a hard nosed, no nonsense over achiever right in the middle behind Quienen Williams. He’s smart, tenacious, and can actually diagnose plays. I see shades of Dat Nguyen when I watch him. If he’s there in the 4th round I would run up to the podium.

Hard not to like Rodriguez.
I think the fans like him more than the draft people.

With that said. Landor Barton from Utah is another good prospect to look at in the later rounds as well.

Barton gives me LVE vibes with his size and athleticism ...he is going to shoot up boards IMO.

He looks like he’d run a Taekwondo studio called Tiger Claw Taekwondo America USA #1 in some strip mall somewhere in eastern Oklahoma.

How long has it been since we had a player with a 70s porn stash?

If he's available in the fourth round, then he's probably not going to be exactly what we need. We could get lucky, though.

Doesn't sound like a ringing endorsement. Nothing good comes out of eastern Oklahoma.

4th seems right for him. He is a player, but he will probably have limitions at this level. He will probably be at or just above the caliber of guys like Hitchens and Damien Wilson. Id take that every day in the 4th

I'm intrigued by him. You don't make as many splash plays as Rodriguez has without having some actual talent and difference-making instincts, which he appears to have in spades. There do appear to be some physical limitations as he looks maxed out in terms of size. That said, there have been successful smaller linebackers in the league before. Dat Nguyen, Zach Thomas, are top of mind.

Instincts are arguably the most important trait for LBs and Safeties IMO.

If instincts aren't a strength on a LBr scouting report I want nothing to do with the player.

This is why Sean Lee looked like a 4.5 player.
