I think other players have delayed the microfracture surgery to play, but I think they are faced with the delimma of a shortened career and major long term consquences down the road. That's an individual decision each player has to make. No doubt with his degenerative knee conditions Earl Campbell would have been a candidate for microfracture surgery had it been around in his day. I've seen him make a couple of appearances around Austin and he's practically bound to a wheelchair to get around.

As I said, I'm not going to pass judgement. No doubt the guy's an easy target.

Go back and examine Lacewell's draft history. Would you listen to him? I wouldn't.

he was right on Larry Allen and Flozell Adams. of course he missed wide with Shane Hanna and Solomon Page so he aint perfect. The Larry Allen pick in his first post Jimmy Draft bought him a decade of leeway
