I've watched all the games Jacob's has played in this year and the one thing the Cowboys defence should really focus on is the between the tackles running. The Giants usually pull a guard or have a FB lead through the hole with Jacobs coming right behind them. Thats alot of lbs motoring through there. I hope Dallas doesn't start the game firing their tackles into gaps and stunting themselves right out of the play.

Several teams attacked the Cowboys this way. You can bet this is the first thing the Giants will test.

I think containing Jacobs is key to the game, if they can run on us, we'll have a hell of a time winning. Unlike most people around here, I actually think the guy is a pretty good back. He's big and physical, and he just gets stronger as the game goes along.

He's got a big mouth though, which is the only reason I don't like the guy.

The key to me is for the Cowboys to get a fast start and get ahead quickly and force the Giants offense to throw more than they want to, allowing us to tee off on the QB.

It's certainly easier to attack a one-dimensional team.

If this happens, Jacobs will be a non-factor and the game would work in the Boys' favor.

I think the Giants will have more difficulty playing from behind than we will.

If we don't have a fast start, then I don't mind us shooting the gaps. Yes, we could give up a couple of big plays. But, it's worked for us most of the year.

I'm almost positive Wade and Brian Stewart have some new blitzes (run/pass) they've worked on in the past two weeks (think Denver preseason game).

Bingo.

This game will be won or lost based on one thing: QB play.

If Romo plays well, we win. If Romo plays poorly and Eli plays well, we lose. If Romo plays poorly and Eli plays poorly, we win.

True. All the playoff teams have QB's that played well this year (to a lesser degree Rivers and Eli).

However, QB's can be more effective if they can use play action.

I too am concerned about Jacobs. The only thing I find with him, is he usually gets hurt in many games.
Don't get me wrong here, I'm not wishing injuries on anyone ,but I found in the past ,he's not that durable.
Just thought I'd throw that out.

You hit on my biggest concern. The Giants have been using Jacobs the first two-three quarters to wear down the defense and Bradshaw to finish them off the last couple of games. By the time Bradshaw comes in, the defense is tired and slower. Bradshaw is fast and shifty making it even harder for the defense to contain him. Jacobs MUST be healthy the whole game for the Giants to have a chance.
