jjt seemed to think if the cowboys do lose next 2 games that wade might get fired, with bye week coming up, but jjt jacquee taylor touched on this in his sports column yesterday

Having a lot of talent is like having a lot of money.......it will spoil you.
This team has tons of talent and tend to put things on cruise control. Hopefully Wade has learned the guys need a extra gear/foot on the throat mental approach instead of just cruising to a victory......

A win, any kind of win this week would be huge. A confidence builder. Hopefully they do get it. These guys need to close ranks and play like the team they were supposed to. The whole under dog mantality is cheesey and overdone but that is what the Cowboys need to do and a solid win would go along way towards building that confidence. A different kind of confidence opposed to the obvious (or obvious to see now) over confidence they had earlier this season.

Week 4 we played and lost to Washington at home. That was a big must win game as all home division games are. Why did it take them a month to figure this out? No leadership. Soft HC. The story is getting old.

i totally agree, but i think some issues were dealt with this week.

1. By romo stating that he wont be playing, the players cant expect him to come in and win the game in the last few minutes, even wade said that their were some players on the cowboys that felt that way, which is sad.

2. Wade has to run the defense now, period, no more excuses and he knows it.

3. players on defense want to rush the passer now turn it loose and attack, thats the way you play on defense.

4. even jason garrett knows he is on a short leash too, with wade checking his playcalling.

5. the players have their back to the wall now, and they know it, time to put up or shut up now.

6. there will be accountability by jerry jones on the players now, im not sure they realize that yet, its up to jerry to sit them, cut them or trade them, i guarantee you if jerry does some of that, this will wake the team up too.

7. cowboys always play good when they play against a defense like tampa bay that is reported better, more fierce than theirs,

now we just have to wait and see
