Jags making a push for Murray?

I see Murray in a situation a bit like Cobb was.
Stay where your team is absolutely built for your success, and take maybe 10% less.

Easy for Cobb since he plays a more important position is only 24 and will see another big check and he got 40m

Murray should do what is best for he and his family. if the Jags offer him 10 to12 million a year for 5 years. he would be crazy not to take it. i think if this report is true, that he is gone.

Probably true but I'm in denial right now about losing Murray...:D

Depends on the money. if the money is a lot more, Murray is gone. this does not look good.

He's not signing with Jacksonville. I'll be shocked no matter how much money it is. If they were a good team then I wouldn't be but they don't have much to surround him with.

Meh, they are young, have a new coaching staff, some decent talent starting to get into place and tons of cap room to improve. I could see him being sold into the turnaround story if the money is there.

Still think there might be a little shock left from that MJD deal. Didn't workout for them.

I don't know. Seems every one so far has gone for the biggest payday. I don't think he would be different.

They are young and still bad. How long will the young excuse and new coaching staff excuse run out. They've been young and had coaching staff turnover for a while now. They still haven't gotten better. Money is not going to make a difference when the roster is still bad.

They've been linked to Julius Thomas.

They have plenty of money to spend, they bring in Murray and J. Thomas and maybe say Maclin at WR their offense will hum. Their defense isn't bad....not great either but could bring in some pieces there and be solid. Maybe with another draft or two could make wild card weekend

Not really. The only one is Suh and you knew he was going to get a big payday. Murray has said that he wants to stay and willing to. Doesn't seem like the type to jump at money to join a bad team like the Jaguars.

Seems MURRAY to jags is becoming reality.

@MaxLuckan: #Jaguars GM Dave Caldwell and DeMarco Murray's agent, Bill Johnson, are believed to be discussing parameters of a deal

the cowboys will let the market value be set, before they rush in... and rightfully so....
no state tax in texas will play a part...
we know jax is in a rebuild, but james stewart, fred taylor, mjd, greg jones... all were pretty good backs. and denard robinson is a solid all around back... you have to start somewhere....

Florida doesn't have a state tax, either.

If the Jags offer him 4/40 and our offer is 4/28, do you really think Murray is going to piss away $12M? Don't forget, Romo could take a shot in pre-season and this team is right back to middle of the pack in the league anyway. The defense is still lacking badly, and with no Romo teams will put 10 in the box on Murray. Then he's $12M poorer AND winning just as many trophies with Dallas as he would with Jax.

That's why guys take the money. Predicting which team is going to be better 2 years from now is a fools errand in this league.

Funny. Some of you actually believe Murray is going to sign with the Jags, don't you?

Common sense, people. It is not a crime. Murray is not signing with the Jags.
