Jags making a push for Murray?

I think demarco would rather stay here for a little less because the chances of winning are far higher.

Not finishing what was started last year for the frwakin Jaguars would make me lose respect for him.

That's a valid point.

They have huge issues everywhere and to commit say $40 mil to a guy at a position they aren't horrible at seems stooped.

OL, DL, WR, TE... All very bad.

They have 68 million in cap space because they have turned over their entire roster to youth the past two seasons. They can address a lot of those and still sign Murray.

I hope they get him. Worst mistake we could make is to overpay for a running back.

im torn. i really am. i want the team to remain together, so as a whole they have a sense to come back hungrier after last years heartbreaker. plus with romo on his final couple years, i want the best chance to win for him. and us..

Still think there might be a little shock left from that MJD deal. Didn't workout for them.

Guys cheer up, what is this a wake? I'm very happy for Murray & his family if another team breaks the bank for him
cause goodness knows there are a bunch of teams out there with suitcases of cap space they have to spend.
The Cowboys will find another RB to work with the 3 we have on staff, bank it. All's well, be happy for him
and know that by training camp all this morbid thinking will have left with the El Paso sunset.
Now everyone start studying who Will McClay will find to replace him...come on now!

I have my doubts that he will run to Jacksonville for the money. He's been quoted as saying he wants to go somewhere to win a Super Bowl...not necessarily to the highest bidder.

I say he resigns in Dallas - 4 years 32 million - 20 guaranteed

Yes they could.

Doesn't mean they will.

Not even sure why Jacksonville would do it. Denard looked good last year before getting hurt and they got a sea of issues. A RB isn't putting them over the top.

because both Jacksonville & Oakland are going to have to start giving out a lot of big contract just to meet the salary floor and the best free agents are either staying where they are or already committed elsewhere

i mean, how much money does one need?

at some point, you play a game to win. i really don't think that happens down in jacksonville.

This is his last, best shot at taking long term care of his family. He's most likely going to the best
team that wants to offer him big money for 3 or 4 years. He's likely to get a contract he likes
even though the team might not be very good.

i get it, but the cowboys will also offer a contract that will set anyone up for the rest of their lives. i don't wanna hear it.

It's easy to sit here and say, yeah I would play for a few mil less. When it isn't a reality in our lives. You may be one in very few that would do that, I don't know. But I think most that say it would only say it until the check was in their laps.

He might, in the end, decide to stay but, from all reports there are 10-15 teams with loads of cap space they have to spend
to get to the league minimum floor. I'm pretty sure the FO will not want to chase the RB market.

I'm sure this is easier to say when you are not the one telling your family you passed on $10-15 million dollars.

if anyone for the first time hears millions, they'd be excited either way. 5 million, or 20 million, if you're smart you're set for life.

the thing is, with the cowboys, or jaguars, he will definitely get way more than 5 million over a certain amount of years.

if demarco wants to stay, he will give the cowboys a chance to make a fair offer. to go to jacksonville as a professional athlete doesn't make any sense when marketing yourself as your brand. nobody gives a flying crap about you if you play for the jaguars.

maybe it is me. but its because I'm a fan

if i were an athlete id play for the dallas cowboys for 50,000 a year. these guys that whine about a couple million are insane. (not saying demarco is that way) but some guys are. who knows if he is behind the scenes or not? i hope not, but...

I don't think Murray is a crier, I just think like most he's trying to set up his family for generations to come. And a ton of these guys come from nothing,
imagine all the sudden you get offered money you couldn't even dream of?
