FA Tracker: The #Jaguars will be releasing DE Red Bryant today. Bryant started all 16 games in Jacksonville last year.

He's best suited to be a 5T. Seattle really used him as one, with Chris Clemons/Bruce Irvin used as a Leo rusher (like a 3-4 OLB rushing with their hand in the dirt).

Is he a DE or DT? I know Seattle used him as their SDE the year they won the Super Bowl. Doubt Marinelli would use him in that role though. 30 years old, 320 pounds, average half a sack a year. May or may not be improvement over Hayden.

Red Bryant was a good player in that SEA rotation. He only lasted one year of his four year deal in JAX. I didn't see enough of him last season to have an opinion on him, one way or another.

If he only lasted 1 year in Jax with his former Def Coord. from Seattle as his HC, that tells me something. Might be time to hang em' up. Don't see Dallas looking at him.
