I'm just getting back from the game. I know what you are thinking, why in the world would I go to a skins preseason game. Well, I didn't have anything to do and a friend had free second row seats. Anyway, they looked pretty bad all around. I know its preseason, but this was supposed to be the redemption game to set the tone for the season. I was asking people there what they thought was going on and nobody seemed to have anything to say. A couple of guys thought I was a skins fan and opened up about their negative feelings. I kept my laughter in and let them think I was a fool and liked the skins. I was curious to see Devin Thomas, but they have other young wr that look better than him. I didn't see flashes of anything. Not speed or anything that would make me think that he would one day put it all together. He may not be completely healed yet, but if he was the best the draft had to offer at wr, I am glad we passed. The rb Mason looks good, but he may get cut.
:lmao2:

Parking was $40 in lots over two miles from the stadium and you have to catch a bus to the stadium. The bus ride is $15 if you don't have a wristband from the parking lot. Our bus broke down half way to the lot and we had to walk the rest of the way. It is really hard to be a skins fan!
Were you the dude in the Romo jersey?

This was bound to happen. As a few folks including myself noted, the Skins were putting in more than just standard vanilla plays from the first game to get the players adjusted to very their new schemes. As the other teams started adding some complexity instead of just playing vanilla/evaluating talent, the Skins started getting beat up.

Although I have thoroughly enjoyed seeing those whoopins, I don't think it indicates where the skins will be this year. There will be some growing pains when pitted against teams that have fully gameplanned for them. It wouldn't really surprise me if they got it handed to them a few times this year. But, if/when the players get settled into the new Offensive and Defensive schemes, they could start looking better as the season progresses.

For the preseason, Jason was 23 of 39 (59.0%), for 202 yards (5.2 yards per attempt), 1 TD and 1 int... his quarterback rating was 70.7...

And as you noted, it got worse as it went on; in his last 3 preseason games, he went 11 of 24 (45.8%), for 70 yards (2.9 YPA, and that's not a typo), 0 TDs and 1 int... his QBR was a ridiculous 45.8...

He's making great progress, really grasping Zorn's West Coast offense... :D

but....but....but......HE"S GOT THE TOOLS AND THE POISE !!!!!!!!!!
