I'll say this, they might not be considered to be the best tandem in the league but they might be the hardest trio to cover by the end of the season. Our guys had awesome coverage on them but they still caught the ball. Watch, by the end of the season they will be the best trio in the game and in the offseason everybody will be looking for the 6 5 recievers. Trends guys, last few seasons it was the small wide reciever but I say these guys turn that thinking around. They're young and good, wait till they play a cupcake.

It's not enough to be just tall. What seperates Matt Jones is that he is tall/big and FAST. Faster than most WRs 6" shorter than him.

He is just freak of nature.

Yup. He's developing nicely too. He's going to be real good.

You make some good points but I think the reason they won't start a new trend is because they're not playmakers. They're definitely solid and make catches that shorter receivers might not make but they don't have the explosion that can turn a 10 yd catch into a touchdown.

I certainly would rather have a Terry Glenn, Santana Moss, or Steve Smith than any of those guys even if you factor in potential. It's not just speed which Matt Jones has plenty of but it's quickness and explosion that Parcells likes so much.

I don't think it was ever the point that big receivers were not trendy, it's just hard to come by a player w/ size / speed/ hands ratio.

Reggie Williams is plenty fast enough too (and just as big). WRs just take time to develop, and I think Reggie Williams is on the verge (along w/ Jones).

And Willford, it seems whenever I get a chance to see him play, all he does is catch everything thrown his way.

If the Jags struggle on offense this season, I think it'll be b/c of injuries to the QB and RB positions. I think their young receivers will be just fine,
