The Jacksonville Jaguars are trading quarterback Nick Foles to the Chicago Bears in exchange for a fourth-round draft selection, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter. CBS Sports NFL insider Jonathan Jones has confirmed the trade. NFL Media's Mike Garafolo adds that Foles is re-structuring his contract as part of the deal.

Foles parlayed a Super Bowl run with the Philadelphia Eagles into a lucrative contract offer in Jacksonville last offseason. The deal was worth $88 million over four years. A dead cap hit of $33.875 million was expected to hit Jacksonville if Foles was not on the roster, according to Spotrac. After suffering an injury in Week 1, he essentially lost his starting job to rookie Gardner Minshew. Foles was named the starter when he returned but eventually lost that right in three weeks. He now gets a chance to compete for a starting position again in Chicago.

In four games, Foles completed 77 of 117 passes for 736 yards, three touchdowns and two interceptions. The former third-round pick out of Arizona recently turned 31 years old. His career has included stops in Philadelphia, St. Louis, Kansas City, Jacksonville and now the Windy City.

Foles is a decent QB. If you put the pieces around him we've already seen what he can do. The same goes for any decent QB. The Bears already have a crazy D. If they get the WRs they may be a team to look out for in 2020.

Foles going back to his Eagles offense comfort zone now in Chicago.
Will battle it out with Trubisky

Jags shedding cap and letting Minshew have a shot, and possibly prepping to go for cyber QB Trevor Lawrence in 2021

When it’s all said and done, this guy will have had a bizarre career for being a QB who led a super bowl run and was also super bowl MVP.

Has got to be one of the most unusual resumes of all time.
I seriously think he would write a book when he retires. Would be an interesting read

Yeah, he's basically a journeyman who won the Super Bowl and got its MVP.
