For Dallas I think they are really important.

You see what Witten does and he doesn't give us any kind of vertical threat.

With the zone run scheme that we use it would also be good if we had another guy that can help seal the edge off.

Jake Butt is a Witten clone imo and i'd like to see him drafted and learn from Witten before Witten retires.

That's exactly what the Giants did against us in Week 1; bracket Dez and run blitz the safeties. That effectively left Beasley and Witten to try to beat us underneath.

I like both but Howard is a complete tight end right now and under utilized in 'Bama.

I like Howard but I don't think his upside validates a 1st rounder. I don't see a big impact player. Maybe he is a Jermichael Finley type at best.

Jake Butt has huge upside imo. 6'6 250 and moves like that. He could be a special player.

He's 6'6" 251, runs like a gazelle and actually blocks well.

Just depends for me.

I honestly think a athletic young TE really takes this offense to another level and because Zeke bounces so many runs wide it also will help the run game. It will just add to our strength.


Of course I want defense but another stud TE that stretches the seems would just be devastating for opposing defenses to try and stop. It would be stupid how good we would be.








Also, The Cowboys front office has to have at least earned your trust for 1 draft after the class they brought in last year. If they do draft a TE, WR, or whatever you gotta give them the benefit of the doubt.
