Rather take him in 4 than pay Schulz 12 million though the stupid Cowboys will pay him because he’s Daks friend
we are so done if we pay 2 TEs top money but both cant block worth a lick, heck they dont even have the will to get in front of a defender in the run game.
You're not wrong on this, but I would put caution on the expectations for a rookie TE. Even the better ones coming out of the draft tend to need a couple years of development. Outside of QB it may be the toughest position to transition to in the NFL. You're expected to run WR caliber routes, and block like a T.Rather take him in 4 than pay Schulz 12 million though the stupid Cowboys will pay him because he’s Daks friend

And thats a reasonable expectation. Still not confident I would set that bar for a 4th rounder, but we saw just this year Pitts, Freiemuth, etc did show an ability to make an impact in the passing game in year one.In terms of blocking against NFL defenders, sure. Not in terms of pass catching.
Schultz is not out there running the full route tree. He's a reliable check down and underneath route runner. I think a quality rookie TE can be had in this draft specifically that can give you the same.
