It's good news Fergy is attending the camp because:

1) Cowboys have no veteran TEs for these young guys to learn, so getting tips from All-Pro TEs can only help, and maybe Kelce will mentor Fergy since he mentioned him as one of the young TEs he likes.

2) Never underestimate being around the best in what you do and realizing you can go toe-to-toe with the Top guys...building unshakable confidence.

Heck, I just wish Hendershot was going too, so they could tear it up together.

Jake Ferguson is going to be such a bust that his name will forever bring shame to the Dallas Cowboys franchise

one of his 19 receptions for the season....So I guess that makes him elite to you? A Gronk, a Kelce or a Kittle, he is NOT!
You could compare Kittle to Schoonmaker in college. Older, run first schools without eye popping numbers.

Most TEs take quite some time to develop.

Look how long it took Dalton Schultz to develop.
Shultz was a serviceable Tightend but he wasn't worthy of a four year deal at 15 mil a season like he thought he was worth, and he wasn't a difference maker this offense requires....Ferguson was primarily a blocking Tightend in college, he's not a down the field Tightend, Cowboys consider Hendershot a better prospect than Ferguson, who was an undrafted free agent signing....I didn't say Ferguson is a bust, I said he was a serviceable primarily blocking Tightend...and clearly as most of had said prior to the draft that the Cowboys would select a Tightend early, as they did but was told Tightend isn't a need....

Smart decision.......add Shoonmaker already working with Jason Witten, I'm loving our TE room.

Cowboys' Jake Ferguson primed to breakout in 2023 after wise offseason decision

The Dallas Cowboys look to be set on who will be entering training camp in July as their starters. One new starter is Jake Ferguson at tight end.

With Dalton Schultz now in Houston, the second-year man out of Wisconsin is projected to take over at the position. Making that leap will not be easy. Fortunately, Ferguson will get some much-needed help this summer before he heads to camp.

He will be heading to a three-day summit know as Tight End University. The event is headed by current tight ends Travis Kelce from the Kansas City Chiefs and George Kittle from the San Francisco 49ers, as well as former tight end and current FOX color commentator Greg Olsen.

The summit confirmed Ferguson will be attending this year via Instagram.

Cowboys' Jake Ferguson to attend Tight End University.

According to the Tight End University Website, the event was founded in 2021 as a way to bring players who play the position together. There will be bonding activities as well as film study and field drills. For a young player with a lot to prove in 2023 after Dallas selected Luke Schoonmaker in the second round, this is great news for Ferguson.

Straight from Kelce in March:

“Super Bowl winner Kelce recently was asked to talk about young tight ends who share his playing style. He didn't quite bite on that, but ...

“I don’t know if there are any that remind me of myself, but there are a few guys I’m excited about. Kyle Pitts (Falcons) being one of them. Ferguson down in Dallas and (Daniel) Bellinger over in New York.

"I’m excited to see how these guys manifest over the next few years and we’ll see where they can take their game.”

Maybe he can play Diggs in drills and actually knock the ball loose from Kittle?
