NFL Network's Adam Schefter reports the Broncos believe that they'll be able to trade Jake Plummer this offseason.

Jacksonville and Houston are called "likely suitors." Mike Shanahan was quick to cite Plummer's 40-18 record in Denver as a starter at his press conference Tuesday.

He would be a nice back up for alot of teams. He did win in Denver, can't take that from him, but at this point I think he is a back up. I would not be surprised to see Minn take a run at him.

I think Dallas might be interested in Jake. The question is whether Jake is interested in being a backup.

I would'nt trade for Jake the Snake even if Eli Manning was my QB.

I actually don't think he's a bad backup. But trade for a 30-something, big-money backup? Don't think any self-respecting franchise would.

But he can keep a team in the playoff hunt, which is what I think is the job description for a backup in this league.

Parcells seemed most interested in him and he's gone. I don't think he'll be coming here. At one time I did and posted to that effect. Not with Parcells gone though.

No, He is going to Houston.

He will go where he can be a starter. I cannot think of many other destinations other than Houston or Oakland where he would be handed the job. I think he got a bit of a raw deal in Denver as they had to cope with Cutler's growing pains and the defense collapsed under the pressure. He's never going to live up to the hype he received.

If anyone can make a true winner of him, Kubiak might be the man for the job.

I think he'll end up in Houston, after they finally get rid of that young lady they've been disguising as a quarterback for the past five years.

If Plummer goes to Houston, we should try to trade a 4th rounder for Carr. I'd roll the dice on a young QB with starting experience behind a much much better O-line than Houston's. You never know when you're gonna need your backup.
