This guy was my pet cat during 2023 draft season. I knew he'd take a few to develop, but I'm hoping to see him have another strong camp in 2025. Anyone else think there may be potential there. I'm about to start looking at the draft in a few weeks. But for now, I'm just pondering our current, young prospects.

I'm with you on Flournoy but JC has been here two years and can't get on the field and having Mingo on the team will probably push him out if it's not done by a rookie.

he might have a good chance to prove himself, as I think Cooks won't be brought back.

3rd year is usually the year. He was always going to have to muscle up some. I personally think we need a new look on the offense. A guy like Moore could help with these guys simply because he can scheme around the players' potential, if allowed to do so. Whoever comes as our HC, OC, etcetera, will need some autonomy.

Anyway, Cropper is still one of my favorite prospects. I believe he'll crack the roster somehow.

I'm not optimistic. I'm all for giving guys a developmental year, but at WR it just seems very rare that guys just break out after not being able to get on the field their first couple seasons. Its typically one of the easier positions in football to transition to from college. There are certainly some exceptions, Nico Collins comes to mind, but he also had a major upgrade at QB and two years of getting 400+ snaps before his break out came. A guy like Cropper who struggled to even get snaps in a bad WR group with a lot of injuries just doesn't leave me with a lot to look forward to. I think the only true prospect on this depth chart is going to be Flournoy.

I'm thinking the ceiling for Cropper might be a lesser version of Turpin if we dont bring him back. Other than a nice 40 time I'm not sure what makes him a great prospect.

I was hoping JMC would get called up in the last couple of games just to get a look. I don't think he's going to get an opportunity to play. Guys have to get injured in Dallas, in order to get a look.

He's a savvy player, just a wee bit undersized. Looks like Diggs from a size comparison standpoint. Although you can see from his film that he'll take some time to develop. I think Tolbert has a chance to near 1,000 yards next year, as I think he'll be a better player with one more year and having a QB with a competent arm back.

Not having JMC back may have had something to do with having Cooper Rush as our QB, which never should have been the case with Lance on the roster.

Bring Racey McMath back to camp . Tall speed can get downfield then they cut him at the end of 24 camp .

Over the last decade or so I'm just not sure many players have went from barely playing to contributing at WR....I'm sure there are some, Noah Brown I guess? Overall though it just doesnt seem to happen with any sort of frequency and just based off league history it seems like Cropper has long odds. I might be missing an obvious example, but I just can't think of very many who have had similar career paths at WR. Needs some time to develop is fine, but thats also just another way of saying that he isnt very good....especially as a guy is entering year 3. Developmental time is about over and he needs to show something on the field to stick. To me he just seems like a gadget and special teams guy, and probably a long shot to make the roster if Turpin is brought back.

Even Tolbert I would tap the brakes on. Some are high on him because he put up solid #3 WR numbers, but neglect the fact that he did that by getting #1 WR snaps. He ran the 18th most routes in the league this year, but was outside the top 50 in both catches and yards. His metrics from 2023 to 2024 really didnt improve very much...the biggest improvement Tolbert seems to have made was simply getting more snaps from the guys above him missing time. I think he is good enough to be on the roster, but I really hope the plan isnt to pencil him in as Cooks replacement. Very good rotational guy, but I dont want him getting nearly 900 snaps again in 2025.

Obviously I love Lamb. I'm cautiously optimistic on Flournoy, but outside of that I'm just not very big on this WR group at all as far as having guys that could be starters.

The whole pet cat thing is so annoying.

I don't have time to talk about our depth. I'd have to devote a weekend to it or something.
