I don't get how the saints bever bothered to go back to crab legs. The few games I've seen from Dalton he looks like a backup

If it was a home game for the Saints I would feel better about their chances. But Minshew is a back up for a reason. He has been very inconsistent in his career, hopefully it's the bad Minshew that shows up against the Saints.

It's not going to matter unless the Colts beat the Giants. We need both the Colts and Saints to win.

Frankly, I'm surprised the 90's Saints didn't achieve that, with their bevy of pass rushers, that year all 4 of their LBers (back when they ran that scary 3-4 defense) made the ProBowl (Vaughn Johnson, Ricky Jackson, Sam mills, and somebody else)
Pat Swilling was the 4th

Definitely want a Saints win.

Would not mind if the Vikings are the 1 seed tbh. I like that match up. But, I think the Vikes need Philly to lose twice since the Eagles own the head to head.
Agree would rather the boys play inside at Minny than outside in Philly. Jmo

It really looks like the entire NFC East is getting in.

If Washington beats Cleveland, it looks like they are in if the Eagles beat the Saints. Green Bay will have to hope Dallas backups beat Washington.

Giants just have to beat the Colts and they lock up the 6th seed. Even if they lose to the Colts, they can lock up 6th seed next week with a win over Philly. Provided Philly beats the Saints.

Where it can get messy is if the Browns, Saints, and Colts all win. Then you have Green Bay with a legit shot at making the playoffs.

The more accolades our own players win, the worse for us.

The more accolades our rival players win, the better.

Would you rather Nick Bosa get 15 sacks a year for SF at 25 mil a year, or get 15 sacks a year for SF at 35 mil a year?
I wouldn't assume winning an award means an extra $10 mil/year. Hurts and Bosa are breaking the bank regardless.

If the Seahawks win their last 2 and Washington drops one, then the Hawks or maybe Packers) are in.

Playing to lose vs Saints will force Dallas not to rest some of their key players vs WAS which besides the wear and tear also exposes them to injury while trying to be seed 1 (or play at home). If igles win Dallas can and should rest their key players on Jan 8 similar to what Titans did on Thursday

Could it be that Igles feel confident they can defeat Giants, so they rest their key players this week lose vs Saints and force Dallas to play their key players all along?

Well yeah, but Washington has to drop one to the Browns. Which is possible. Because if the Eagles beat the Saints, Dallas isn't playing anyone against Washington.

Kind of frustrating that Dallas could be handing Washington a playoff spot by resting everyone week 18. But yes, it could end up that way. Bad luck for the other teams trying for that spot because if that game was played any other week....

I guess if the Eagles lose this week--which is not out of the question-- all bets are off

Not only that, but we need to hope the Colts beat the Giants. Even if the Saints beat the Eagles, what good is it if the Giants rest their players in week 18?

I suspect Hurts would play week 18 if that game was needed, don't you?

Without a doubt. But it might not be necessary if the Giants beat the Colts this week. The Giants won't play their starters if they are locked in to the 6th seed. It would be interesting if the Colts win, and the Eagles lose to the Saints.
