He is not a consistent passer at all. He is capable of making big plays. But he can’t just accurately pick apart a defense up and down the field.

His running game is essential to him being a dangerous player.

He also throws a lot of high risk long balls. Thats regressing to the mean this season more of them getting picked off than last year.

There is something going on in that man's head that's not good. You can see it in his demeanor.

I don't care what new-age, aloof, meditation/stoicism technique he's into...it ain't working. And is certainly not helping to inspire the team he's supposed to be leading.

What is clear now about Hurts is that last year was the anomoly. He's not that great consistently, he just had one amazing year.
He got a huge contract as a result of that year, so props to him, but now that contract is going to hurt them, and he's just not that good.
Someone said he was a great runner, but is he really? Certainly the push is a huge advantage and he runs it brilliantly. But as a runner, compare him to Lamar. Hurts is not that good. He's a good running QB, but I would not say he's a great runner, and as a passer he is very inaccurate and holds the ball way to long.
I know the Eagles lost some good players from last year, but I see Hurts regression as the biggest reason they are no where near as good as last year.

He was much faster last year. It looks like he’s playing hurt.

He's struggling for sure
*** last year was easier coz DCs didn't have enough reel and/or time to break him down
*** he misses his OC from last year
***he's not trusting his arm....afraid to throw in tight windows
***bailing way too much ( just a matter of time before a major injury )

He is. But that’s also the inevitable destiny for running QB’s. They take too many hits and their body breaks down. Leading to regular injuries.

Think about how many hits Hurts takes over the course of a season. All the normal hits that a QB takes on passing plays with QB hits and sacks.

The hits on running plays.

The hits on tush push plays. Yeah those plays are highly effective for the eagles but they are also willingly subjecting their QB to hits from massive d lineman over and over again every game with that.

It’s asking to have a banged up QB.

I agree with this.......he was such a running threat last season, I think it threw teams off a bit coz it opened routes for his WRs. Teams/DCs weren't sure if they should contain him or his WRs but they could do both. This year appears they are giving him his runs and taking away his weapon which explains why he bailing and/or holding the ball too long.

He does not like to go through progressions. When he gets in a tight spot (a lot of times his own doing), he chucks it down the field without giving much thought to defenders. Not working so well this season. I could see them losing a couple more games. They are in free fall.
