It is looking more and more like he will be out of reach at 4. He is likely the best player in the draft. If he is there at 4 then we should take him and consider ourselves lucky to land the no 1 player with pick 4.

Ramsey/Jones would end up being one of the best safety tandems in the league and would be a major upgrade over what we have trotted out there over the years.

From everything I've read on twitter, the Cowboys and a lot of other teams look at him as a CB, not a safety. I don't see it, but that's what I keep reading.

If thats the case then the charger are welcome to draft him,i dont think he will make a great corner.

I don't see it, not where he's projected, at CB. I think he has elite potential as a safety. He's not fluid enough to ever be an elite CB to me and I have very little interest in him plsying there. Now maybe these teams want to try him at CB first, with safety as a fallback, but if teams don't know where they want to play him, is he really worth the 4th pick?

It's the opposite of what you just said.

What's the opposite? Literally everything I've heard or read about our team is they are looking at him as a CB. They even say they personally see him as a safety, but the team doesn't agree.

I agree, IMO, he will not be a great corner. His back pedal is not fluid and his hands are ok, not good.

He is likely the best player in the draft.

Based on what? He's arguably the best athlete, so some would give that nod to Jack though. He's not the best corner. He's not the best safety. He may be ready sooner than the QB's, but his long-term appeal doesn't come close to theirs. Then you have Tunsil, who is a plug and play LT day one. I don't see anything about Ramsey that screams "best player in the draft." I might be willing to agree with highest upside, but I think he's in a tooth and nail fight with Jack their too (not to say anything of Wentz).

We drafted Ramsey last year. Ramsey @ corner is a crap shoot. A CB w/o quick twitch reactions, and low INT number, has disastrous potential.

I think what it says is that the Cowboys won't take a safety with the 4th pick and if they drafted Ramsey it would be as a CB. But his best position is safety, so he is probably not in play for the Cowboys....

the only thing screaming that Ramsey is the "best player in the draft," is Ramsey himself going on all these shows saying he is the best player in the draft.
