When I checked about 2 weeks ago, Rector was still on the PS. I think he's there cause Parcells believes he's less attractive to other teams then either Hurd or Austin would be & both have developed into pretty good ST players while they still developing their WR skills. Remember both showed enough to in preseason to attract the interest of GMs around the NFL as did McQuistan.
Just seems to me that our rookie crop is beginning to develop quite nicely--although many of us wished it could have happened a little earlier. But heck at least they are showing signs of life and we've still got 2 regular season games remaining and then the playoffs.
Now all we need do is worry about the Eagles and Garcia along with Westbrook. Our defense has got to play better. Wonder if Parcells giving the players extra time off and making coaching staff work means things going to happen at VR.
BTW: We all saw that play Ware made on his INT and return for TD. But did you notice that it was Canty (in front of Ware) who was pressuring Vick and thus forced Vick to make a mistake?
