Now that Parcells is gone, how much of a look do we give this guy? He intrigued me during pre season, and he and Romo had some serious mojo going on. After seeing Sean Payton giving his receivers a chance to make plays, do any of you think we have a decent receiver here, or do we take one in the first two rounds? I remember Parcells stating he reminded him of Gary Clark.

Jamaica Rector (born August 10, 1981 in Celeste, Texas) was signed as an undrafted free agent out of Northwest Missouri State University. He set the all-time record for career receiving yards at Northwest Missouri State.

Campus: 4.49 in the 40-yard dash…345-pound bench press…300-pound hang clean…10-foot-5 broad jump…Right-handed.

Combine: 4.47 in the 40-yard dash…2.58 20-yard dash…1.58 10-yard dash…4.13 20-yard shuttle…11.12 60-yard shuttle…6.78 three-cone drill…36½-inch vertical jump…10-foot-2 broad jump…Bench presses 225 pounds 17 times…32-inch arm length…9 5/8-inch hands.

Nothing in his workouts really impresses me, except that he's fairly strong for his size. However, I still liked him more than Hurd last preseason. I hope the new coaching staff gives him another oppurtunity to stick around. Some guys can just make plays and I think Rector might be that kind of player.

i fully expect the Cowboys to draft a WR in either the 2nd 3rd or 4th rounds.. added with glenn owens crayton austin and hurd means rector doesnt make it out of training camp if he even makes it there

I'm looking forward to giving more PT to Austin, Hurd, and Rector now that BP is gone. Sean Payton found Marques Colston the 7th round and found ways to make him sucessful. I think w/ a new coaching outlook, maybe these three will get to show what they have as WRs.....

I think it all starts over in camp for the young wr's. Rector did play lights out in pre-season and if i'm not mistaken led the league in yards or catches in pre-season. Miles Austin came on late in th kicking game and showed up-side, but didn't show me anything of being a capable wr. Does anybody know if the new special teams coach from the ducks has a punt returner going in the draft? I heard that guy was lights out at oregon state. If anybody knows about good kick returners it's our new special teams coach. I wouldn't be suprised if Dallas drafts a punt returner in the late rounds of the draft and our new special teams coach has something to do with it.
