Leaf might be one of the biggest clowns ever to be drafted that high but few can have a poorer work ethic or attitude than Russell...I think he easily supplants Leaf as the 'biggest' bust ever...Being a #1 pick, a holdout and never working hard enough from day one has to make him the worst.

If I had already pocketed 39 million I'd go and invest it in businesses to create more revenue and cut my losses in the NFL.

I'd wager he never plays again. He's pocketed like $30M, and now could only - maybe - get the minimum. I don't see him having the desire and the pride to fight back into the league.

He had no business being picked that high, much less starting so early on. He'd probably have still been a terrible QB, but starting him that early guaranteed it IMO. As a testament to just how bad of a pick Ryan Leaf was: he put up worse numbers than even Russell.
