The real bad sign is that he's not throwing anything deep, because the Giants run offense is leading the league in preseason. Their pass offense is 31st.

Looking at it more closely, there is zero correlation, because the Giants rushing yards have come mostly from 2nd and 3rd teamers. What's happening is Eli's throwing nothing but short passes.

Mostly to a tall (6-5 235) FA WR named Anthony Mix, who's caught 2 of Eli's 3 TD.

My thoery.............Russell is lookin for a ton of upfront monies. He sucks, has horrible work ethic and he knows he's gonna be a flash in the pan. JMO, of course. Director of pro scouting at the combine said he thought Russell was way overrated.
