Harrison with two more violent shots to the head and knocks out Cribs and Massequi and surprise surprise no flag thrown on either play. I just dont undsdstand why the Steelers can play by the 1970's rules while everyone else has to play by the new no hitting rules.

that 2nd helmet to helmet hit was redicilous.

he helmet to helmet knocked the guy out and another player smartly kicks the potential fumble out of bounds. the steelers dont get flagged... the browns do for delay of game.

Yeah, I just don't get it either. The hit in the Eagles wasnt to the helmet, and he didn't leave the ground, and yet that was 15 yards.

These refs are so inconsistent. Sam Bradford just got drilled in the head a little bit ago with no call. At least I know it's not just Romo.

The Steelers always get the call...They have two rings because the refs helped them out (Seattle and Arizona)

i think it was Merriweather with a kill shot on Heap in the Pat/Bal game, missed him the first time on the goal lnie but got him on the next series, major foul, major head shot, NFL heavy fine coming this week for him..

James Harrison dirty? No it can't be...

The problem with inconsistency is getting worse and worse. At times it seems as if the refs do not even know the rules of the game.

If you're going to call it on one team, you have to call it on another. Dallas gets flagged for everything, yet their opponents never get called for anything. Imagine if we played the steelers how lopsided the calls would be.

Too bad we don't have anybody with that kind of aggression on this team....although, we would probably end up getting flagged for it.

Saw nothing wrong with that video except for the hit in the back at the beginning....if the play is going on, keep knocking him down...that's football.

I didnt see the Massaqui play but I did see the Cribbs play, I cant believe there's no flags for that. Very easy call that was in plain sight.

Folks, this is the main reason they have their trophies. They get away with garbage like this constantly and have for over 3 decades.

they were just flat out better than anyone else in the '70s.

no, they werent...they were not better than us, especially in that 2nd Super Bowl...they got that game because of the officials, just like the two they won recently...all because of incredibly one sided officiating

oh, and rampant steroid abuse

yeah they were, they beat us twice in games that weren't as close as the score.

Pass interference: Benny Barnes. Interfering with the WR's ability to shove off.

Ur allowed helmet to helmet on a runner.

Not true.

using any part of a players helmet (including the top/crown and forehead/hairline parts) or facemask to butt, spear, or ram an opponent violently or unnecessarily; although such violent or unnecessary use of the helmet is impermissible against any opponent, game officials will give special attention in administering this rule to protect those players who are in virtually defenseless postures.

-----------
In summary, it's always illegal, but will get special attention on defenseless players. So no, it's not allowed.
