Is this a bargain or you get what you pay for?

Good to see the numbers so low. If he doesn't work out he is easily cuttable and if he works out he'll be a bargain. I'd still be on the look out for a #3 because I don't see anyone on our roster that can start at the beginning of the year while Gallup is out and play well enough to be a #2. To me Washington is a #4 that can move up to #3 if needed

Looks like this year's Kearse to me.

Could be or this year's Kazee. These players don't sign for this kind of contract because anyone expects them to be great. They do it because there are major flaws in their game. Sometimes scheme can fix the flaws. Sometimes they are just flawed beyond repair.

One year of production, and then he will be on his way.

When we identify some of these guys, why don't we at least get 2 or 3 years out of them? I'm guessing it's because we aren't entirely confident in what we are identifying. That and some of them are looking to prove themselves for a bigger pay day.
