Jamie Foxx as Electro in Amazing Spiderman 2

Yesterday, comic book fans in Times Square got their first look at Jamie Foxx in his upcoming role as the villain in the next Spider Man film. In the Mark Webb-directed action flick, The Amazing Spider-Man 2, Jamie will star as Maxwell Dillion alongside Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone.

Jamie's character is an electrician who gets struck by lightening and develops the ability to control electricity. As a result of the "shock", he emerges as the super villain Electro.

I like Jaime Foxx a lot, but I don't think he's good enough to warrant watching this movie after how awful the first one was.

We shall see.

The remake was pretty good IMO. I thought this kid was a better Peter Parker then Toby McGuire. Not to mention Jamie foxx is an awesome and versitsle actor. I think it was a great choice

A different series. The trilogy that had Tobey Macguire only lasted 3 movies and ended about 8 years ago. This is the one that came out last year with some young dude and that chick from Superbad and The Help, Emma Stone I think.

I actually thought Andrew Garfield was a better Peter Parker than Toby McGuire. I thought his Spiderman "Persona" was also done better. But as far as the movies go? Spiderman 1 - 2 are just far superior movies from a plot/character development standpoint imo. Amazing Spiderman has a ton of really really bad flaws and random stupidity. But hey, Amazing Spiderman is still leagues better than Spiderman 3.

Foxy is a bonafide, versatile actor.

His look and facial expressions make him perfect for this role.

Spider-Man 2 is one of the best comic book-to-movie screen movies ever.

They nailed Doc Oc in every way. The train scene was brilliant!!
