Jamize Olawale-FB

He is the reason I think Scarbrough starts the season on the practice squad, unless he beats out Rod Smith. Olawale can carry it 5 to 10 times in a pinch.

No reason to carry Zeke, 2 bruising RBs, plus Olawale and Austin.

Yes.
I have Bo as a PS player as well.
I think some will make Bo out as Darrius Jackson 2.0 as for anointing him the savior.

Why then did the Raiders want Keith Smith over him? If he is a physical runner and can catch, block?

Olawale is more of an H-back where Smith is more of a traditional lead blocking fullback. Offensive philosophy determines which player you want. The Cowboys seem intent on running a smash mouth spread. Ergo, they’ve spent the off-season shedding players who fit the pure Coryell mold—Batteringram fullbacks, big lumbering receivers, etc.

In a smash mouth spread, you need three receivers and then you can supplement them with an in-line blocking tight end, a fourth wide receiver, or an H-back like Olawale.

I hadn't given much thought to this guy since we obtained him from the Raiders. I was actually thinking of using Scarborough as a HB/FB and came across Olawale's youtube. I only looked at two but there are more.

6-1 238-244
40-4.58 (low 4.4 high 4.58) Looks 4.55 on the field.

This guy can run. He has power. No arm tackles here. Often breaks two tackles in a run. Has some wiggle but mostly is a one cut back who makes people miss. Hard to catch once in open field. Acceleration to line is average. Can make the corner. Runs inside well. No reports of fumbling. He could easily be the go to RB in case of injury. Didn't see him block much as most were runs but reports are he is a very good blocker including pass protection. Lines up some as lone back. Catches the ball well in the flats as an outlet and even downfield. 3 minor injuries in career. Sent the Raiders Pro Bowl FB packing after conversion from LB to FB.

Played LB, WR, TE at North Texas. I don't think he went to the combine and his pro day youtube is silent so I can give you metrics there.

I doubt Scarborough is even on the radar as a FB esp with this guy on the roster. I've watched the Cowboys since 1964 and we have never had a FB like this guy. Perkins is only one close and he was more of a HB.

I'm excited about seeing this guy play. No need to carry an extra RB.

There will be some difficult decisions on cut day this year.

Ya,fer' sure Walker!
But most would think that's the better kind of difficult decision a team to have other than the difficult decision of placing SCRUB player A into position x over SCRUB player B simply cuz' he's the least SCRUBBIESTo_O
