#10 is way too high for Wentz. Doubt Scooby Wright falls to the 3rs. Same with Mitchell in the 4th.

If we take a TE in the 2nd i will be so pissed. Would rather use our 4th or 4th comp on Nick Vannett who is a sleeper due to Ohio never using him. He has good hands and catching ability, has the speed to be a deep threat, and is already a good pass and run blocker.

Also what did we get in the trade back? a 1st round pick for 2017?

Romo 36 -
Tony Romo has talked to Jerry Jones, is cool with drafting a QB

http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.co...ed-to-jerry-jones-is-cool-with-drafting-a-qb/

so you expect him to get by - well I don't

12 Saints -Brees 36 - Sean Payton

13 Eagles - Sam Bradford is awful - The MMQB column, Peter King makes it sound like Bradford's return to Philadelphia is far from a lock.

15 Rams - Foles lost his job to Case Keenum - Rams will explore options http://profootballtalk.nbcsports....fseason-as-starter-rams-will-explore-options/

I think not

Wentz plays in a multi-offense and lines up both from under center and in the spread. The passing game has some sophistication to it and it requires the quarterback to go through a progression and has some whole field reads

Unlike many of the college spread offenses we see, the North Dakota State offense doesn’t have the quarterback make a high number of short throws at or around the line of scrimmage. This offense has the quarterback throwing the ball downfield. It is far more similar to a pro offense than many of the spreads we see quarterbacks running.

Looking at his stats, in his 1.5 years as a starter, he has thrown for close to 4100 yards, 65% completion percentage, 35 touchdowns and 10 interceptions. He has also rushed for over 800 yards the last two seasons.

While generally level of competition is a concern when evaluating quarterbacks, I don’t see any problems with this player. He has played well against FBS schools and won a FCS National Championship last year. He consistently shows poise and leadership and is in total command on the field.

The upside is he will develop into a quality starter. He has more talent than Jimmy Garoppolo from the 2014 draft and should get drafted higher. From what I have seen to date, I would have no problem pulling the trigger on this player in the first round.

I don't want a QB that early
This draft ignored secondary
I definitely don't want a TE that early
And I don't need to select a RB in the 1st rd
This draft in my opinion would be a disaster

I like Wentz too, i like him alot but not that high. Didn't NO pick a QB pretty high last year? I seem to recall they did but maybe not. I think we have to see who the Coach in Philly will be before any determination of the style of QB they will like and Bradford didn't play horrible this year, not great but he could be kept for another year or two depending on the coach.

I am all about trading back in the first but we need a DB in that spot or a LB. I would pick up Wentz in the second, I think he will be there. I would think we would get a 2nd and 4th maybe a 3rd in a trade back depending on how far back we move, I would use those picks for a RB, in the second and a TE in the 4th.

You don't take a kid at 10 because you are panicking someone at 18 might take him.

You take the BPA. I doubt Wentz would be 10th on our board.

The mantra is Wentz will move up the board as the off season activities reveal his talent

The other mantra is teams will overvalue Wentz because this is a weak QB draft and Lynch and Goff will go off the board early.

Scooby Wright's ceiling is the 3rd IMO. He's a great college LB, but teams tend to downgrade them especially if they overvalue "elite" athleticism over instincts.

Players like Borland, DeAndre Levy, Stephen Tulloch, Dat Nguyen are good examples, going in the third or later when their production was off the charts.

I think that was two choices 1a or 1b.

BTW, trading down to ten means we allow the Giants to move up to 4. Um, how about no.

Plus if we trade down to ten, how do we only have one 2nd rounder? I would assume if the Giants want 4, they have to pony up their 2nd rounder.

And a 3rd/4th. Division rival. They better be overpaying

might be true and probably so but if you want to ride
