The NFL comes out and says no use of foreign objects sight lines for
kicking FGs/XPs just before the playoffs. Players were probably
wondering who's using a laser, or something.

Then, the game starts and your team scores first. You walk out
and grab "a blade of grass" with white paint from marking the field.
Suddenly the referee says "hey, you aren't allowed to do that".

A blade of grass, painted white is now a foreign object!?!
People were talking about using objects that help elevate the ball
to get more distance. Nope, this was just to help the holder spot
the ball, which has been done for decades.

Absolutely ridiculous.

How is a grass blade a foreign object on a football field?

Why doesn’t anger just put a finger down where is going to set the ball.
And catch the ball with one hand?
He's having enough trouble using two hands.
You want him to catch the snap and place it down with one hand... lol

Didn't someone mention that the refs got onto him about an object made of grass with a white mark on it?

From the sound of it, Maher is really gonna have to screw up bigtime for Viscaino to replace him. I'm hearing from my son that he heard on the radio that Viscaino was missing by a wide margin with his misses. One of his former teammates even commented that he's awful . . .:omg:

If he manages to kick the vast majority of them in practice, his confidence should be improved, if he's thinking straight. There'll be no more yips.

I'd suspect at least one of the FGs was from 32 yards.
It's crazy when they can make long FGs from 60 yards but can't manage to do likewise from 32. Go figure.
On an encouraging note, it'll make Maher feel excellent when he sees how horrible Viscaino's been doing!
