I would expect that Cooper Beebe is the one who will lead. Yes, it is early but he was a captain in college and our new OL coach was his college coach.

But you cannot sell the fanbase on drafting an FCS guy to be the leader in an OL with Smith, Beebe and hell even Steele

Feels a little high, but what targets are we not saying that about right now? Its the nature of a draft that is weak at the top, and has value moreso in rounds 2/3.

Personally I'd be all for it. Would rather see it via a trade down even if it is for 70 cents on the dollar, but improving the trenches is exactly what this team should be focused on right now, and is the best opportunity they have at making the post season in 2025.

No way we take a guard at 12. A LT I can see but guard? Come on man. I can see in the middle or late first round. I would rather look in round 2 or 3. Heck just last year we picked 3 offensive lineman.

This is the real issue. Its so hard for them to mess this pick up because they throw a dart and address a need. They really just need to focus on getting a quality player regardless of the position.
