If Zabel is the pick at 12 we will need a new server for the forum. That scenario would have me more disappointed than drafting one of the top TEs. At least I could dream about one of those guys being the next Brock Bowers.

Im not endorsing it but we could do worse than Zabel with our first pick and to be frank we have. I would rather have Zabel than a TE but Id much rather trade down or grab one of the WR or RB. I think Id rather even have Zabel than a corner the guy is going to be a beast and day 1 starter.

I went back through visit info and I don't see anywhere where we met with Grey Zabel. Not saying we won't draft a guy like this, but not common for us, especially in the first.

Seems Dallas has been talking about making the run game an emphasis this upcoming season and getting back to their DNA so-to-speak, so I wouldn’t be surprised or disappointed if Dallas takes an OL at #12 so long he is a plug and play starter and being a natural leader would be a plus…a guy like Martin or Frederick; seems like most of the star players on the Cowboys just like to run their mouths and their play doesn’t back it up. Need some OG offensive and defensive linemen to set the tone this year. I’m sure Golden and McMillan are solid players, but a solid run game should open up the passing game with maybe some of the younger WRs developing and stepping up. Who knows…it’s all a crap shoot.

I've read where the 49ers like Zabel as well. I mentioned a few days ago about Zabel at 12 and everyone ignored the thought. This kid will step in and start right away and will bring some big nasty with him...With Smith, Bebee and Zabel, that's a lot of nastiness on the interior. Sure, would help counter the Eagles DL.
Another thing about Zabel besides being a mauler is that he is very fluid and can easily turn his hips and reach blocks, has no problem getting to the second level, and can play anywhere along the OL. Yes, his arms are on the short side, but he makes up for it with his technique. One more thing about Zabel is his real time processing speed and high IQ...it's been compared to Zack Martins.

You don't think Warren would be an instant boost to the offense? He could be our #2 target and help blocking in the run game as well. I'm not arguing, just trying to understand your thought process.

Keep talking. You are starting to sell me on this guy. If he is another Zack Martin it would be tough to pass on him. This draft is so depressing because it feels like we have about 7 or 8 big needs and only 3 premium draft picks. The good news for us is that the BPA is most likely a need for us because we have so many needs.

Warren would be a nice pick especially if they can move Ferguson and get back into the 4th round.
