not to downplay Martin cuz he was great, but an olineman will be no more than at max replacing him with no changes in the outcome of this offense.

I am tired of tapping Olinemen, especially when the shakers are in disarray. We have Lamb and thats it, other than Dak, but even that is slightly in question. CD needs someone to take the pressure off him because, sorry Tolbert & the rest, frankly all the other receivers won't cut it and don't scare anyone. We have no one to run the ball and take the pressure off Dak. We need Fergy to step up.

Most likely we are not going to rebuild this team up in one offseason, but it is possible if done right and we are in position where it could be done.

You don't think Warren would be an instant boost to the offense? He could be our #2 target and help blocking in the run game as well. I'm not arguing, just trying to understand your thought process.

my thought process is we already have 2 TE's one of which was trending upward until last year and the other of which our dumb FO felt necessary to waste a second on but is going to be Gavin Escobar or Martellus Bennett all over again and I have no faith that a TE is something that turns this offense around. Id much rather see these 2 grow as they are here.

I think on the offensive side of the ball that having another threat at WR such as Golden or Tet has that ability give the offense the boost it needs or a running game that defenses have to respect. I havent watched a ton of Penn state so if that dude could come in and be Travis Kelce from day 1 then maybe but we have alot of needs

Keep talking. You are starting to sell me on this guy. If he is another Zack Martin it would be tough to pass on him. This draft is so depressing because it feels like we have about 7 or 8 big needs and only 3 premium draft picks. The good news for us is that the BPA is most likely a need for us because we have so many needs.

I think 12 is high for Zabel but it wont irritate me as much as some other options. If they took him at 12 and still found a way to address RB and WR and Dline (whether thats edge or 1T) with playmakers Id be happy.
