I figured it out....great cover skills....4.3 speed....5'10", 190.....troubled past....

Adam "Pacman" Jones all over again...I think it's a perfect comparison...let's just hope that Jenkins' past STAYS in his past, and he has a lot more successful, longer NFL career! Especially, if we select him!

4.3? didnt know that .. comes with to much baggage for my blood unless we trade down..

I've always had reservations about putting Janoris Jenkins in the first round because of his multiple arrests, but he seems to have turned his life around. He hasn't gotten into trouble at North Alabama, and he even recently told the media that he doesn't even hang around people who smoke weed anymore. It seems that as with Phil Taylor, getting kicked out of school served as a wake-up call for Jenkins.

I like Jenkins skills but he's too small and I don't see us drafting another small db

Hope not. Hard to get excited about a top 15 pick that is a flyweight.

You certainly hope that's the case.

I remember people saying that we shouldn't draft Chris Johnson or DeSean Jackson because they're "too small".

We should be done with the knuckleheads.

how is he small?
do you want a 5-10 CB that can go step for step with the WR and is physical and strong enough to knock any WR off the line.

Taller CBs have stiff hips and cannot turn and run with WRs and gets burnt. This is the reason why most taller CBs play in a zone system.

Look at the best man cover CBs. Nnambi is the only one over 6 feet.
Joe Haden, Revis, and Flowers are all under 6 feet.

Jones was an alcoholic. He would get drunk repeatedly and do stupid things. Look at his issues starting with him getting drunk and spitting on a girl in VTU all the way through to the drunken fight with his bodyguard at the hotel.

Equating people to simplify understanding does not make it true. Its called dumbing it down.

Revis is 5'11 1/4, Haden 5'10.5"

Jimmy Smith, Sean Smith, Chris Cook, et cetera are all 6'2" and above.

And before you say "well, Sean Smith and Chris Cook aren't any good..." I can give you a list of all the bad sub-5'10" corners as well in the league.

Janoris Jenkins measured in at 5'9.5".

Having said that, I agree in part of what you're saying typically is the problem with taller corners, however, Kirkpatricks fluid hips is what makes him a better prospect than your average 6'2" athlete.

Gimme Kirkpatrick

He has friends he can depend on

Kirkpatrick has fluid hips for his size, but are still abit stiff.
Jimmy Smith didn't even play much this year so you can't count him. Sean Smith does suck.
so one inch makes that big of a difference, not for me.

What about Brandon Flowers who is 5'9", one of the best 3-4 man cover CBs in the NFL.

Lardarius Webb is the best CB for the Ravens and he is 5'10"

go look at how kirkpatrick played vs small speed WRs, he got burned vs the Gators this year.

If you scared about Jenkins playing bigger WRs. He shut down AJ Green, Julio Jones, and Alshon Jeffery.

go back and watch, he gotten bunrt on two long plays, plus got burnt on alot of short under passes that the RB turned up field because Kirkpatrick was trailing because he is to slow to turn and run.

now I like Kirkpatrick but I'm not one that thinks he is a shut down corner and he isn't better than Jenkins. He is my #3 CB.
