That team is STACKED and he fits there. Why were looking into adding him to the rebuild was concerning and resembled old JJ logic.

Paul Allen did take him out on his yacht.

Do they have two more years before they have to pay Wilson?

Jared Allen was accompanied on his second visit to the Seattle Seahawks by his wife, family members and his agent. But any sense they were brought together presuming an introductory press conference disintegrated when they left Seahawks headquarters and returned to their family offseason home in Arizona without finalizing a contract or otherwise committing to join the defending Super Bowl champions.

In a text message at the end of the day, Allen said, "We are heading home and will consider their offer and I'll make my decision this weekend."

Earlier, league sources described the Seahawks and Allen as working on the final details of a contract that -- barring unforeseen developments -- would be signed as soon as Thursday.

Ken Harris, who represents Allen, indicated the player had more than just Seattle's offer to deliberate before making a commitment. The only other team Allen is known to have visited were the Dallas Cowboys, who signed defensive tackle Henry Melton. Sources indicated that the Cowboys were not interested in also signing Allen unless he lowered his contract demands.

So they're telling us there's still a chance.

We read them. We read them.

My hunch is that his wife is pushing the retirement angle. I don't think we're in the discussion.

Probably. But I can still hope. It's been a long time since the Cowboys started a season without an elite edge rusher.

I don't think he would of made a second trip with her if she was pushing retirement on him.

I would really love for Dallas to find a way to make it work to get him here. I'm not saying it's going to make us any better than last year, obviously, but i'd rather not go into next season with even less than what we already had.
