Jared Allen vows to "kick butt"

Vikings quarterback Brett Favre indirectly has given the Cowboys some bulletin-board material in advance of Sunday's division-round game at the Metrodome, essentially saying he'll be "shocked" if the Vikings fail to beat Dallas. (Favre has since tried to undo any potential damage.)

Vikings defensive end Jared Allen was far more direct in a recent radio spot on KFAN in Minneapolis.

At the tail end of the segment, the host says that a prediction for the game is coming up. Allen then says, "We kick butt."

The ball is now in your court, Mr. Sensabaugh.

If/when Sensabaugh replies, maybe Allen will claim that he said "kiss" not "kick."

Allen is one of the better DE's in the NFL. I'm sure he is going to do his very best, but at the same time, if Flozell is playing well, Allen can be neutralized.

Flo has a tendency to play his best football vs top competition. Allen calling him out should add a little extra incentive. It wouldnt surprise me if Allen gets a sack but I cant remember the last time a healthy Adams got beat over and over.

We need Flo and Colombo in the zone this week. The Vikings DE's are better than the Eagles at getting after the QB and the DTs are much more physical against the run.

I think we need Flo to be on because Colombo is going to need a lot of help against that LDE they have. I have my doubts about Colombo who wasn't that great out there on Parker.

Do not discount Allen. He is at, or near the top of the league in sacks every year. He is the real deal - period.
