all i know is, some espn reporter was on the other day and said 3-4 teams are interested in playing vick as a QB, i just hope its not us; that we are one of the 3-4 teams interested;

Ain't no way Vick plays in the NFL this season... do you think Goodell is going to let him back without slapping a major suspension on him??

He might be ready to resume his career in 2010... maybe...

personally i like J Campbell

Chuckle... you should see a doctor about that problem... how long have you harbored a fondness for inadequate quarterbacks??

i think he just needs a little more time to develop, this was his first full season.

I'm sorry, you got it WRONG... last year was his second full season as a QB, and he's started 36 games now...

Just how much more time do you think he'll need to "develop", perhaps into a quarterback who's good for more than 35 TD passes in 36 games played?? Or one with a yards per attempt average better than 6.4??

Jason Campbell's talent is fine if you're looking at him as your backup, it is not adequate for a starting NFL QB...

I think Goodell will see Vick's prison sentence as being punishment enough. If he was going to suspend Vick, I think he would have done it concurrently with the sentence.

Not only is Jason Candle horrible on the football field, but he is horrible in his Geico commercials too.

I think that you're completely misguided here... what would be the point of suspending a player if he's already in jail??

I will practically guarantee you that Vick will be facing a league suspension when he gets released from jail, and it will be for at least a year...

Actually, I liked that commercial, and thought Jason came off as well-spoken... almost intelligent... :D

The Commanders offense will be a joke if Jason Campbell is still the QB. Teams figured the offense out by the end of the year, taking away the routes he had, because the coach had to dumb-down the offense for him. The OL began to look like a joke, though it was the very same line in reality in the beginning of the year. The routes were limited anyways because of his slow release. I hope he is still the QB of the Commanders.

There defense on the other hand may be pretty good.
Not really, Once Samuels (a pro bowl left tackle, and line anchor) got hurt, our line never recovered. I am not blaming injuries per se, because you have to overcome that obstacle, but to think the line was the same is wrong. Heck, we lined up a reserve C against Tuck in the 2nd NYG game because he was the only healthy lineman left. I am not lying when I say I feared for Geisinger -the C- and Campbells health on that play! I saw another LT/Theismann moment.

I agree. I think it would be dumb to suspend him while he's in jail, it defeats the purpose. And I too believe he's getting at least another year out of the league as punishment, which frankly I won't be upset if he does get another year. If you want to be that stupid, and screw up your shot of playing NFL ball, then more power to you. Your loss.

Michael Vick will be a Raider, true story.

I wouldn't be shocked, in the least, if that happened. In fact I could see some of those crazy Raider fans embracing Vick.

I'd take Vick at an extremely low salary and see where they can plug him in time to time. I would not call myself crazy like those fans trying to defend the Al Davis draft picks, ughh. I just think Vick might be of some use.

I'm surprised more people aren't interested in Vick as a five or ten-play QB. Maybe his physical condition isn't the same after prison, but he was an electric football player.

He can have Todd Collins' spot. I wouldn't complain.

Mike Vick is one player no matter what Jersey he's wearing that I wish very painful injuries on if he's let back into the league.

The Madia spotlight is going to be too bright on whatever team signs him, he's not worth the distraction.

The point is that the jail sentence was punishment enough. He's already served more than twice as long as other first time offenders do for the same crime.

Do the name Tank Johnson mean anything to ya?? Did 120 days in jail, then was suspended for 8 games...

Maybe YOU think the jail time is sufficient punishment, Goodell clearly does not...

And frankly, the short bit of jail time Vick did was nowhere near enough punishment for his crimes... he got off with the proverbial slap on the wrist, then the state of Virginia turned around and let him off altogether... the only consolation I find is that he's up to his eyeballs in debt as a result...

If I was Goodell, I'd institute a lifetime ban on Vick...

Johnson didn't miss any games due to his jail time. Vick missed two full seasons. They aren't comparable.

Johnson also didn't hurt anyone, or anything, with his owning of guns. What Vick did was far worse, IMO, and deserves a far greater suspension.

He should get AT LEAST a 1 year league suspension now. The NFL doesn't owe him any right to allow him to ever play football again. It was his priveledge to be allowed to play pro ball, so I honestly wouldn't be upset if Goodell said to him he is banned for life.
