Out of all the miscues over the last 7 years as the HC, the numerous botched clock management miscues before half and at the end of games, his decision yesterday was unforgivable. I'm not even talking about the Chaz Green fiasco. I am talking about having your franchise QB still in the game with four minutes left in a blowout. And then using your timeouts to stop the clock. Did he actually think this team was going to score three touchdowns with Byron Bell at LT? To have Dak in the shotgun to get killed is simply unforgivable.

Someone at the press conference finally asked him about leaving Dak in the game with four minutes left down by three touchdowns with Bryon Bell at LT. His response? "Because you play for 60 minutes and you have to keep playing and competing." Unreal.

Someone at the press conference finally asked him about leaving Dak in the game with four minutes to go down by three touchdowns with Bryon Bell at LT. His response? "Because you play for 60 minutes and you have to keep playing and keep competing." Unreal.

I wonder whether Dak wanted to stay in at that point.

C Green has had an injury prone career in college also. He's had a few surgeries including herniated disc surgery, hip surgery , a torn labrum, and ankle injuries, groin issues. I dont think he should have even been taken in the 3rd round or selected for the team.

A player as such will not be able to take Tyron Smith's place and we are even afraid Tyron Smith may be finished if he has back surgery and yet Chaz Green has that and others.

Dallas pretty much drafted a player with a preset bulging disk.

Yet we didn't even try in the last game of last season, rested our starters and it was the beginning of the end. Make up your mind, Garrett.

Here's what Garrett meant to say at the press conference:

But if I pulled him out, Jerry might have yelled at me!

Second response:

I had every intention of pulling him but Scott said he just about had the defense figured out

Third Response: Linehan just mentioned that he forgot to put a TE on that side to slow down the pass rush...

I will. It was obvious Green couldn't handle Claiborne. Make an adjustment. I don't care if you have to keep Witten in and double team the end, because one on one you weren't going to complete many passes anyway. You'll complete even less if you lose your QB.

bob sturm went off on him for this on the radio today. said it was the dumbest decision he's ever made and a fireable offense if Dak got hurt there.

I think I read that title on a magazine at the checkout at Albertsons.

So if we were beating the Falcons brains out with four minutes left your keeping Dak in the game? And not just in the game but in shotgun formation with a third string player at LT?
