I think this has to be his biggest problem. He's just inexperienced. Was when he got here and hasn't really had a chance to learn from a good offensive mind.

Essentially, he is his own apprentice and mentor at the same time. He's teaching himself. The guy was a QB coach for 2 years before making the jump. This is only his 5 or 6th year coaching.

He just does things that I think are signs of lack of experience. Some of the calls are pretty damn head scratching. Back-to-back fades, slants, screens. It's almost like he would rather force his plan to work than take what is easily in front of him.

Gurode was manhandling Haynesworth all night and when it came down to needing 2 yards, Dallas pitched it to the short side of the field.

The quick passes to Dez and company weren't working but he called like half a dozen anyway.

The running game in general was getting the job done but the game was pass heavy as can be. It wasn't a wide deficit to make up. It was within a single score for a good amount of time.

And this has all been said before. ****ed up calls are nothing new from this guy. I'm actually surprised that Wade didn't ***** slap him during the game for not being able to do a damn thing with the team.

Thus far, only 1 team has scored fewer points than Dallas. Not really saying anything after 1 week but when you are almost dead last to some of the garbage teams in the league, it says at least a little something. The Dallas offense has given up more points than the defense.

There were two possessions yesterday where Dallas had a fresh set of downs inside the Commanders 40. 1st and 10 just outside of FG range.

1st and 10 at the WAS 37.

And

1st and 10 at the Was 34. This one became 1st and 15 at the WAS 39 after a delay of game. Somehow, just getting a snap off seems to be an issue with this team.

Anyway, two times just outside of the FG range. Dallas comes out both times, passes every down and then punts. Does anyone not have a problem with this? You only need like 5 yards for an attempt at a FG. I realize Buehler missed prior to one of these drives but why would you not try to secure the FG attempt first and foremost? The RBs averaged almost 5 per carry. If they would have gone up the middle, there's no way they don't at least scoot a couple yards closer.

I just don't like it. The guy has more talent then most teams and gets less out of it.

I don't know how long Dallas will have to wait for this guy to evolve his game. What's the learning curve on what many would "the basics"? Odds are, by the time he gets his own **** straightened out, the core group of players will be past their prime or retired.

This is season 4? Still coming up with some of the same problems we've seen in previous seasons.
