Jason Garrett Comment I Heard Today

Release the hounds!
Batton down the hatches!!
Man your battle stations!
Hide yur wimmen and sheep!!
Big storm a comin' !!

I'm still fidgeting over the rest of Wades staff. I really, really hope Rivera somehow comes to his senses and takes this opportunity.

You gotta give up the Rivera dreams. He is a 4-3 coach and Wade is going to run the defense no matter who is named the DC.

Must be nice to get to run this time of year. Here in Indiana we had 7 inches of snow last week and are supposed to get 4-8 more this week.

Hey, it could be worse-- you could live in Oswego County, NY... those folks had been having a winter much like ours, somewhat warmer than average, with no snowfall at all (which is unusual for those folks)-- until about 3 weeks ago... then it turned COLD, just like it has here... and a week or so back, it started snowing, lake effect snows...

And it kept on snowing... and snowing... and snowing... until now one little corner of Oswego County has had 131 inches-- ELEVEN FRICKIN' FEET of snow, in the last 10 days or so...

With 2 to 4 more feet predicted over the next coupla days... now, those folks get a lot of snow up there, one section of Oswego County actually holds the New York state record for snowfall in a winter, once back in the late 70s they had a total of 467 inches of snow...

But ELEVEN FRICKIN' FEET of snow, in 10 days?? Thirteen to fifteen feet in two weeks?? Man, Alaskans are shaking their heads in pity at those poor folk...

It was reported that at times, the snow was coming down at a rate of 3 inches an hour... that's some serious snow, and with twenty plus mile an hour winds, that's a serious blizzard...

Yeah, it's cold here right now, but we've had two little snows, both 3 inches or less... I'm not gonna gripe too much...

While I was out running I was listening to ESPN sports radio. John Clayton was talking with ___________ Green. Sorry, first name escapes me right now.

Clayton said one Dolphins Coach told him when Saban left that the Dolphins offense "just got 25% better" with the handcuffs off Jason Garrett and that it wouldn't matter who the new Head Coach was.

Per Clayton just like Parcells, Saban was strangling his staff a little.

I expect great things from Tony Romo and our offense this year with Jason Garrett at the helm.

I agree, there will be a lot more explosive plays from the running game this year.

Here's my thought. Defensive formation would have no bearing. Frankly I'm growing tired of hearing that generic, over-used, everybody's favorite...... schtick.

If the guy wants to become a commidity and learn yet another defense from a well versed instructor, this would be his golden ring. He's gonna get paid because Jerry's gonna have to buy him from the Bears or someone else. He can broaden his coaching base and become more attractive to head coaching bidders. I think his biggest knock is that he doesn't have the experience. He'll get that here, on a grand level, and finally obtain a HC position that he desires, especially if he makes the defense work, which he will, cause he's got Wade. If he doesn't see that, someone should tell him.
It's a win-win situation, IMO

This really seems a no brainer to me BUT bottom line is what Wade wants, not what defense a guy has worked with.

yo's? as in yo-yo's?

Nope, as in *I* most assuredly like redheads... like when your name is called in roll call, and you holler out "yo"...

Mind you, I only like redheads that are without the Y chromosome...

Well...I do have a short temper when it comes to sports, but in other aspects of life, I try to be level-headed (Keyword: try). :lmao:

Being level-headed is overrated...

And from my viewpoint, it's those BRUNETTES that tend toward the hot-tempered side (and I love it!!!)...

Am I the only one who thought Saban didnt do a bad job at Miami?

He quit on them but I thought he did a fine job getting those guys to play.

Miami's D was mostly made of veteran players. That is what kept them in games. They scored 260 points and had 283 points allowed..

Yeah, my folks in the Adirondacks have it easy, only 5 feet in the last week. Heading up there in a couple of days. Snowmobiling dreams...

Here a link to the forest ranger school a couple of miles from their house...

And scroll down on this page and look at this page for snow totals since Jan 19th...
