Jason Garrett doesn't trust Romo?

I was shocked to see JG call a draw on 3-9 in the red zone. I can only assume that he thought the risk of a possible Romo blunder wasn't worth going for the TD and/or 1st down (I can't remember where in the red zone they were).

I was very unhappy with the play call. I sure hope there isn't something the coaching staff is seeing in Romo's game that is making them gunshy about plays like that.

Red ball was centering it for Bailey.........if he had done that last week we would be in first place right now.

As far as the call, yea it was a give up play. You are not going to get a 1st down with that play call unless the defense really blows containment. I dont know if Garrett doesnt trust Romo or if Garrett just doesnt have the balls to go for the juglar.

Didn't Tom Landry used to play this same kind of conservative game back in the old days?

He doesn't trust something. Or perhaps more accurately, he probably trusts the defense more than the offense. His game plan was extremely conservative today. I just saw the draw as following from that pattern.

That said, it turned out to be the right call.

If we play "not to lose" against the G-men........well, it is not going to end pretty.

Garrett better find his balls before next week, because we are going to need TDs and no FGs to beat the Giants.

I feel like he doesn't trust the WR to get open or make a key play. Austin and Witten are the only reliable playmakers on the team.

Agree. But we weren't playing the Giants. We were playing Carolina. Cam is pretty much a one-man team.

What is up with Dez dropping TDs on a weekly basis now?

He dropped the 2 pointer last week that would have tied the game and now today...........he needs to get his crap together and get his head in the game.

Dez is too emotional out there. he expects calls and effects his play I feel.

I think this too. Tanner ran off the inside hip of his lead blocker right at the unblocked defender in the middle of the field when he had plenty of space to go elsewhere.

Yeah, he actually cut back into him. Looked like he might have had a shot had he cut left.

He did the same thing Vs. the pats last year and we ended up losing. Good thing we won this one or he would be getting lynched again this week.

He needs to stop worrying about the calls and catch the dam ball. Somebody needs to tell him that this is the NFL and not OSU, you are not going to get the calls you did in college.

Especially on the road, you are going to get bumped, grabbed, held, tripped, face guarded, ect.............and sometimes the ref is going to call it and sometimes he is not.

You have to sack up and play through the contact and catch the dam ball regardless of how much interference you think is going on.

I thought it was a fine call. We had the game-winning points in our back pocket. 3rd and four, you go for it. 3rd and 9 is low-probability. The call needed to be something safe. Either way, I don't think it was any reflection on Tony Romo.

That last drive he was just burning more clock and positioning for the FG, and I had np with it. The last thing we needed was an int or something wacky to happen. Garrett was real conservative today tho, not sure why against that defense.

I was questioning that play Witten caught it then turned to go OOB. We needed to burn clock in that situation and he purposely went out. That play puzzled me too. Think that was on the 2nd to last drive BTW. I was hoping to get the clock to around the 2:00 mark and make them burn the TO's, but it all worked out.

All I know is if this offense plays like this against NY, we will lose badly. They need to open it up and score TD's, not FG's.

yes except he walked on water for some so when he was, it was the right thing to do.
