Maybe it's just me but I liked to see the guy get a little worked up over that intentional grounding situation.

Beats the hell out of a stone faced reaction and "we don't want to question the officials during the game". When you're team is getting the shaft, and I fully believe it goes uncalled without Jason saying something, you gotta get out there and let the players know you have their back.

While it's fun to watch a coach get worked up, it has never changed the call.
Some coaches know that so why bother?

Maybe to give the impression to your team that you're semi-interested in the game.

Might rub off.

maybe I don't understand the call but should it have been 3rd down after the grounding call? Eli threw the ball out of bounds so that made it 2nd down and they lose a down on the penalty....so shouldn't it have been 3rd down?

Agreed, but then his defense showed him what they thought of him a play or two later, by letting the Giants off the hook with a holding penalty. It went from second and 22 to 1st and 10.

no, usually if there is a penalty during a play, the down is replayed after the yards are marked off. With intentional grounding, the down counts.

Yeags, normal penalties give you the down back. Like holding, you replay the down with the yardage penalty. Intentional grounding uses up the play and you don't get it back. That is what they mean by loss of down. Of course, the spot of the throw is tacked on as the penalty as well.

Ok thanks, I assumed I was misunderstanding it

JG is a robot, and he makes me sick every time I hear him talk. Last year it was nice for all his BS but it has not changed one bit, his presses are horrible.

Yes because he was so great yesterday. The 49ers and Harbaugh aren't as great as you think. They've had a nice season and benefiting from playing in the NFC West but they aren't exactly worldbeaters either.

they lost 1 game please, he has done a great job in SF this year. While JG has been over his head from day one.

Remember a guy named Tom Landry?
Quiet, reserved, non emotional and a great coach? He was steady and consistant leader.

Truth is it's probably too early to judge Garrett. He's smart, organized and
deserves more time with better talent.

Com'on. You knew we had several retreads on defense and are rebuilding the O line. With another good draft and a season hopefully without killer injuries - this is a winning team.
