Jason Garrett may not get Andy Dalton

Andy Dalton - QB - Player According to NFL Network's Jason LaCanfora, TCU QB Andy Dalton is the quarterback "generating the most late buzz," and he could go as high as No. 8 overall.
The Titans reportedly consider Dalton "an elite prospect who carries less of the varied risk" of other QBs in the draft. One source tells LaCanfora that the Titans' offensive coaches are pushing for Dalton while the defensive staff loves Auburn DT Nick Fairley. Dalton is becoming an interesting test case with three reliable, high-profile NFL insiders suggesting he's a lead-pipe lock for the first round while film wonks continue to cast skepticism on his NFL future.

Climbing up into the first round is one thing, but into the top 10 is another.

Every year, a couple days before the draft, there's speculation that a bunch of crazy **** is gonna happen. I'd love it if it actually happened this year.

Will be better for us, no matter if the cowboys trade up or down or stay at 9th draft position, that ulitmately will push players down to us in 1st and 2nd rounds, impact type players for us, possibly even an impact type player like we got in 3rd round in Jason Witten when we drafted high some years back.

Titans will not take Dalton at #8.
They may trade down from there, or more likely, they may trade up from their 2nd rd pick into the lower 1st round.

I think Andy Dalton would be a hell of a quarterback for the Titans with what they have in place.

Their HC situation this offseason was bizarre. Now that Jeff Fischer is no longer there, I'm not even sure who is running things for the Titans. If it's Bud Adams, then the Titans are putting together a Herchel Walker package for the #1 pick to take Dalton.

I will say, I do like Dalton better than any QB in the draft ... which really isn't saying much.
