Jason Garrett asked if the preseason game in Seattle when Tony Romo went down was a defining moment for Dak Prescott

Those expecting (or hoping) that Dak will somehow hit a wall in the playoffs,
...or that the playoffs will be too big for him,
...or that he'll be nervous,
...etc...
Well, it ain't gonna happen. If this team loses, it will be a team loss (truisms are true ;))

He hasn't flinched at all at anything thrown his way this season, and I have no reason to believe that the playoffs will rattle him any more than a regular season game.

Even as a rookie, Dak has more composure than most veterans. That's why I don't listen to that stuff about how no rookie QB has ever won the Super Bowl. If there was ever a rookie QB to do so, Dak is the kind of guy who could find a way.

Funny, as soon as I read, "Dak's Signature Moment," I immediately flashed back to pre-season at Seattle coming off the bench and throwing that 3rd & 8 strike to Beasley. I knew then that there was something magical about this kid.

So his defining moment was a lot of moments. You always love how Jason can't/won't answer the question. Of course if I were in his shoes, I'd give the media even less.

He simply makes a lot of really good plays and makes very few mistakes. It's as if he's played in the league for 10 years. He looks polished, poised, confident and he has a way about him that the other players feed off.

You can tell he is genuinely liked and respected by all around him. I don't fear him making terrible plays or throws.

We really struck gold with this guy.

It is funny, though, how some take his lack of mistakes for him not being a playmaker.

There's probably a reason you're reading it over and over...

Do you really believe that there aren't still a significant number of fans who would rather see Romo out there for the playoffs?

That's not what the quote was about. You were specifically saying there are those hoping Dak hits a wall or that the playoffs will be too much for him. Why would anyone want that?? I personally think Romo is the better player but would never hope for Dak to suck it up for us in the playoffs.

I'm tired of the over reaction by some on this board who equate fans who think Romo is the better player as hoping Dak crashes and burns! Just because some think Romo is our best QB doesn't mean we want Dak to fail!

I am absolutely giddy that we have Dak and love this kid, on and off the field. He is the leader of this team and I would love for him to take us all the way.

I honestly think there are too many people that get worked up over the fact that anyone could possibly think Romo is better than Dak and just have the mentality that if you think Romo is better = you hate Dak and want him to fail.

Dak is on course to be one of, if not the best rookie QB ever to come along. I can only imagine how his reputation will blossom if he manages to win a playoff game or two, much less the, dare I say, Super Bowl . . . he'd be the toast of the town and perhaps the entire country as well. From the looks of things his future is all ahead of him, as he promises to do nothing but improve.

He isn't talking about Dallas fans.

The inclusion is everyone else because Dallas is successful WITH Dakota.

The rest of the football world hates us for that.......and any other reason they can manufacture.

And you should know this, man!

He's the one that brought up Romo.

Who besides Cowboys' fans have a vested interest in whether or not Dak hits a wall and there still being a "significant number of fans who would rather see Romo out there for the playoffs?"

Are you kidding me?

Every fan of football, that isn't a Cowboy fan, has a "vested" interest in their failure..... Dak and/or Romo.

It doesn't matter, bro....
