Coach of the year is a meaningless title.

Ron Rivera has two coach of the year titles as does Bruce Arians.

All good coaches. If COTY is just a meaningless title to you, it's your opinion that you are overvaluing.

I wouldn’t consider the title meaningless but that is like getting student of the month and not getting honor roll grades. ”Exellent achievement what is your GPA?” type of result.

Disagree, there is only one COTY each year. Every educational institution has it's own honor roll with several folks on it. Hell, I was an honor roll student once upon a time.

You are correct but take into consideration honor roll is also a system based on individual student performance. I remember making student of the month in middle school (maybe once in highschool) but I always had that one C that killed my chance for honor roll even though I pulled it off once in middle school and got that bumper sticker lol.

COTY is awarded to an individual but its not achieved by an individual. It took the effort of several for JG to be considered. Frankly, many of those folks are no longer around.

Wade Phillips sank himself. He had no business being a NFL head coach.

I disagree. Garrett helped to sink Wade. Look at how well Wade has performed after the Cowboys. Wade is a much better HC than Garrett but Wade wasn’t supported by Jerry while he was here.

Both are complete opposites as coaches and both sucked. Garrett is a good leader/motivator but sucks as a teacher. Wade was a great teacher but sucks as a leader. We need some middle ground. I’m looking at mr Richard

Absolutely stunning

Easily should have been 3 wins in 8 years... if it wasn't for those crooked officials helping out Aaron Rodgers and the Packers! At least 3 wins... maybe more had the Cowboys advanced in the 2014 & 2016 playoffs.

But thanks to those crooked officials... only 1 playoff victory in 8 years for Garrett.

after 8 years garrett is pretty much what he is a average coach that wins games against the worse teams but loses to the better teams wins in the regular season but cant win in the playoffs and when his team has injury or adversity he has excuses why he don't win if you temper your expectations while he is the head coach then you will be able to watch and be a fan without it effecting you much

The thing about Garrett that scares me is that i'm afraid of what will come after him. Will it be Sean McVey? Or will it be Dave Campo or someone that coaching has passed by? I'm not sure if Garrett is the best this team can do as of right now until Jerry completely gives up control which does seem to be close.
