Even beyond that, *given* that you're behind the eight ball in the game and likely to lose anyway, you don't play it safe on the kick return. That's a prime chance to break a play. Better chance than a Hail Mary, and we apparently felt that we needed more yards to take a shot at the end zone.
It's amazing how Garrett can consistently be *so wrong* about game management.
It wasn't a "communication issue". Garrett was just *so wrong* about this. Like always. The guy is just an anchor on game day. Coaches must pray they get to face him in the playoffs.
