Most of the threads on this board are critical of Garrett and I happen to agree with most of them. I too think he is in over his head and has no idea what the hell is going on.

However, to be fair, I think it would be beneficial to track how our OC is doing in the most unbiased way possible, with game stats. Now I know it is only week 1 and the sample size is small, but I will track how our offense ranks compared to the other teams in the leage on a weekly basis. So how did our boy wonder do for week 1.........per nfl.com......

Offensive ranking based on yardage............#5 in the league

Offensive ranking based on scoring.............#31st in the league

So we are 5th in yardage and 31st in points. Last year we ended the season #2 in yardage and #17th in scoring. So far this year looks to be a repeat of last year, lots of yards and no points from our brilliant OC.

I will update each week, however I will go on record as saying right now that we will be ranked higher in yardage than points at years end.......PROVE ME WRONG GARRETT!!!!

Im starting to believe more and more Romo makes the line and Garrett look better then they really are.

Well, that's different from last season when everybody thought Tony was the liability.

Who thought that? Maybe early on but post-KC, I don't think there were many who bought into that idea.

Post KC was into the second quarter of the season. All last offseason and for the first 5 weeks we were hearing it. That's a long time.

Point is, the fans will put somebody in the barrel if this team is not undefeated. This week is Jason Garrett's turn in the barrel. Next will be Wade, and then Jerry, and then Tony again, without particular regard for how any of them are actually doing their jobs.

Of course we'll be higher in yards than points. We're a dumb team. We get penalties. When you get penalties you simply need more yards to score than a team that isn't stupid. I expect us to be better offensively this year as far as points go. Didn't happen game 1 but I still expect us to be better. We've added the fade route to our arsenal. Its more about what we do when we get to 1st and goal. Are we going to back ourselves up to the 20 yard line and have to worry about 3rd and goal on the 20?

I don't blame the people who blame Garrett?

Why?

Garrett is the highest paid OC in the NFL.

Garrett has arguable the best talent on offense in the NFL.

As an OC, Garrett has full reigns on offense and has the title as assistant head coach.

Garrett will be the next coach of the Dallas Cowboys.

Garrett has a top 5 QB to work with.

Garrett has a team favorite to win the NFC and go to the Superbowl by many.

And inspite of all that I've mentioned above, can only muster 7 points against a team that went 4-12 last year.

Are the players dumb, or does the ivy league make the offense more complicated than it has to be ? We have one one the most "talented" teams in the NFL, like the 90's boys lets trim the playbook, line up against these suckers and whoop them.

Trickery and fancy dancy is for teams with less talent playing against teams with more talent, that is why we can't get into a rhythm.

Line em up, knock them down, then play action to Austin, Dez or Witten. So simple, a caveman could do it.
