The complete lack of respect fans have for Garrett always amuses me when those same fans have sky-high expectations for the Cowboys season.

If our coach (of almost 10 years) is such garbage, why would you think the Cowboys will be a championship contender?

LOL...……..the best is when he pushes guys or nudges them. Saw him jokingly push a ref in a preseason game this year. Hilarious.

It's a sure thing that Pollard will be tested today and so will Zeke. Nobody is likely to get 100% of the blocks.

Let's see which of them comes the closest to doing so, even though perfection is never going to be attained.

There should be a reason why Ezekiel Elliott is generally regarded as the best RB around to own that honor.

I don't there is any question Zeke is one of the best blocking backs in the game.

I hope Pollard does well in protecting Dak, if and when the Giants blitz.

There's no need to be concerned about Zeke at all in that respect! ;)

Pollard doesnt beat the blitz by protecting dak. Moore needs to use pollard or whomever as a quick way to allow dak to get the ball out and over the rush.

It's early in his career. Most young RBs need to learn the art of blocking. It's largely just a matter of knowing your assignments and getting in the way of potential pass rushers. It takes time to develop that skill. Pollard hasn't had enough of it, as yet, to develop that skill as need be. Whether he improves enough to get it done in the future remains to be seen.

Very few young RBs coming into the pro game out of college have that skill sufficiently, before they actually become good at it in pro ball. It's not automatic. To be fair, as I understand it, he was mainly used as a pass outlet RB, a slot receiver and kick returner in college. Give him time.

Garrett did exactly what we've wanted him to do.

He was a CEO and he let his OC and DC do their job.

I am 100% not a Garrett supporter. But, tonight he did what he should. I can't see why anyone would be unhappy with his game one performance.

Lets let the rest of the season give us the true verdict.
