On Friday, Jason Garrett held his annual [well for the past 2 years] conference call with season ticket holders. Hosted by Brad Sham.
I am sure it is on the team website by now or soon will be. I will recap best I can remember.

Brad talked /asked about TC schedule compared to last year. Said last year they had a few practices, then had a game, this year they set up camp to get in 9 or 10 practices before the first game. Jason said, they did it to have more prep time, get the players involved in camp first, maximize the TC practices. Nothing a lot different from 1st full year as HC, but they do change logistics, get input from coaches, trainers, and even players.

Boatright...things going well, and should be ok

questions from fans.

DE...what is the plan while Hardy is out, and when he returns....really hard to tell, only 5 or 6 days into camp. Gregory, Lawrence, Mincey and some others in the mix and will keep watching those to see how is develops. Need to hav a top 5, and also use an 8 man rotation. Most teams that rotate their DL during games, have 8 DL to do so.

OL...Know they don't / can't rotate OL like they do the DL, but what is Collins role....same answer as DL, too early in camp to tell. LC, that's what I call him, LC. He is making progress, continues to get better to make that pro leap. No matter what any player does in college, small or big school, SEC, or whatever, it's a big difference, and all players adjust, he is doing that. Leary working hard and good, he wants to keep his spot.
sham ask about his position, would he go to OT if Leary stays at OG. Jason said LC is better suited for OG for now, they do not want to move players around to hinder any progress. They don't move players around if they don't have too, just because a player can do it [play different position] does not mean it is good to do so.

Sean Lee...return to TC....coaches be deliberate in his return, side individual drills, then some 1 on 1, then some 7 on 7 drills, then proceed from there.

RB...general situation...Randle off to a very good start, Dunbar to be used in many different ways. RB, receiver out of the backfield, line up at WR too. McFadden, making progress, running and cutting with cleats on, should be back soon. None will play the 1st preseason game.
Brad Sham..so if none play the 1st game, and usually don't play the 4th game, how do they evaluate, seems less time to prepare.....use games to evaluate more so on the younger players.

Dunbar...injury...don't think is serious, they are off today [Friday], and players getting treatment, will give it a few days and see how he is. If not back Saturday, then soon after.

Sham brought up a few questions from fans.
Brad Sham about bringing in players...Worked out players today, worked out 3 a few days ago, and 3 more before that. Teams always bringing players to work out, try to see where you can improve the roster. as well, during camp, with injuries, you need to have players ready to come in.

Sham...comparing teams from 90's to this team...you can't compare any teams, as that really is not fair question, as those 90's teams were considered some of the best in NFL history.

Lucky Whitehead working as PR/KR....had a good off season and good start in camp. They thought of drafting him, but did not unfold that way. He is showing what they liked about him in college. He is comfortable as a returner. Plays bigger than he is as a WR / return guy. Has a quickness and is sturdy. That allows him to play several spots. By saying plays bigger than he is. He came in and was not in awe of camp or any of the big name players. Came in and got to work to prove himself.

Gregory, how has he looked....he is off to a good start. They like how he responds. One of the things in camp is to see how players respond. How they react when they don't get to the QB. Do they keep trying, learn, try something different. What happens when they don't make a play. Randy is responding very well to that. Said that tyron Smith told a story [I guess he meant to Gregory] about his 1st TC and how he had to go up against Demarcus Ware, and Ware beat him up. But Smith kept going and learned. Now it is time for Gregory to learn from Smith.
[I thought that was great stuff right there]

Escobar, how will he be used....it's a matter of getting opportunities, and with the guy in front of him, it's hard to get those numbers. But it's what you do with those limited opportunities. Escobar is getting bigger and stronger, he has made some big plays for them, and expect the same. We know people expect more for a 2nd round pick, but look who is in front of him. Also he is competing for playing time fro Beasley and Dunbar, and Hanna. It depends on the game situation and what they need at the time.

QB's, same rotation as last year 2nd and 3rd team....initially it will be the same, but as camp goes on you never know how it will turn out.

I missed some stuff, paraphrased some stuff. But it was good stuff. As I said, it may be on the website by now, I have not looked yet today.

So none of the 3 RB's will play in the first PS game? That's weird. That just means my pet cat Gus Johnson will get a lot of reps!

Thank you! That was cheaper than buying season tickets.
