Jason Garrett thread

Red Jesus is the real choke artist on this team. Keep Wade. Fire Garrett. Of course, there is no chance it happens.

Anyone count the number of screens called?

Me neither.

That's coaching 101 for countering a strong pass rush.

Good job Garrett.

I know Flozell went down, but having Witten block Allen instead of his replacement is the pinnacle of stupidity.

Stop blaming the offensive line.

Garrett is a choke artist when things get tough. His sense of game management is lacking.

And he did nothing to adjust.

He's worthless.

What could anybody have done? They couldnt block, and it wasnt just against blitzes. They couldnt block 4 man rushes.

The only thing they could do is what Romo did, try to find guys in short areas. But when the other team knows you cant go downfield, its easy to compress the field.

Nobody can coach a game when the OL gets whipped like that. If you wnt to fire people, fire them.

Did did not call a good game. He should have made some adjustments.

We've got six starting quality offensive linemen, the highest paid offensive coordinator, the highest paid offensive line coach, and our guys can't block for squat in the biggest game of the season.

Yeah, I think heads have to roll for this. You're ignorant if you think it's all on the players for this and not Garrett.

I'm still baffled as to how, late in the 2nd quarter, Jason Witten found himself manned up on Jared Allen. That's not execution. That's entirely schematic.

None of them earned their money which severally limited any chance this offense had. Garrett is the last person that should be blamed for the OL's problems.

Wow, what game did you watch?

You can do something. Dont just keep running the draw when they are hitting runners in the backfield.

His playin calling on the opponents side of the field is awful at times. He gets way too cute and it ends up putting the team in bad downs and distance. He is the main reason we move the ball up and down the field and cant score. Some times simple is better.

His last 4 games were called well....however, today it seemed as though he could make some calls to conpensate for the poor o-line play.

Situational play-calling has once again reared it's ugly head.

Razorback at the 10? When we drive the ball down there easily?

MBIII in for FJ? "Bounce" is just not a weapon.

How many delayed drawswere called yet again? And against a quick defense. Does anybody honestly think that the Vikings who had two weeks to really prepare for it don't know that is what we do most of the time?

I really thought that somebody got to JG and taught him something....but maybe not.

It's really been going on all year...questionable play-calling....and when all coaches say that it comes down to a play here and there, you can't afford to have questionable play-calling all the time....

I'm mixed on whether to bring JG back...I just hope that if he is brought back that he learns something.

If we do get rid of him, what we get could be worse....you never know.

And not one of those OL showed up today.

Other than Free, who looked ok after blocking the wrong guy on one of his first plays, resulting in a sack/fumble.

I agree entirely about Garrett's managing of this game. However, the offensive line shoulders plenty of blame as well. It must be retooled in the offseason.

Screen? Slant?

Didn't see anything. It's 5 step drop and wait for the receivers to run their routes....oh wait, they can't because Tony is running for his life. Give him a hot route, roll him out. Don't just keep calling the same stupid plays that aren't working.

I'd check to see if there is substance abuse by the Vikings, pronto. Are we really that much weaker than the Vikings????

Wow! What happened to our OL?

This offense has too much talent to not be productive. Just look at how he used Felix today and how he managed game situations.

But i don't wanna bash at JG after this tough loss.

I just wanna say this: Garett has had his chance. It's time to move on and try something else.

You're ignorant if you think anybody but God could have done anything with the lack of blocking that was out there today. Tony Romo has enjoyed, virtually, 4 games where he's barely been touched, so that must mean that Garrett is a genius This game, the entire O-line got their butts kicked, so all of the sudden he needs to go..

Witten was suppose to be helping on Allen but he didnt get off the ball so he could force Allen back into Free. That is more execution or maybe even crowd noise. If you cant hear the snap count you are going to be a bit slow off the ball. Seemed to happen alot to Colombo and others.

good post. I thought Garrett had turned a corner, but today's game seemed to go back to what we saw last year and earlier this year. I don't know about him...I really don't.

Gotta go. Let Wade pick his OC, one that actually knows how to call an offense.

This guy's an idiot. Doesn't deserve to be in the NFL coaching.

I couldn't agree more. I'm not usually a knee-jerk reactionary. But this guy screwed up everything. We were in this game for a long time and he kept putting Romo in bad situations to make positive plays. It was like a ****** was calling plays, from the 1st quarter to the 4th.

GROG. Fire that dumb sum *****.
