I love the pedigree of Jason Garrett and love how he handles the HC duties. But for the Cowboys sake, Garrett better look at some tape of the Josh McDaniel’s ERA in Denver. A young inexperienced rookie HC that failed; WHY...why did McDaniel’s fail? Although, I applaud Garret for his desire for the Cowboys to achieve greatness. He is quickly falling into the same trap as Josh McDaniel’s, major cuts to personnel, and critical injuries with no depth to support a winning record. A recipe not only for a losing season, but also a recipe for losing the fan base. In the end, it is not a winning combination for a successful NFL Franchise alone the Dallas Cowboys. It might take 2-3 years for this team to get on the right track, but Jerry Jones is not getting any younger and not sure he has the patience to rebuild this team again.

Jason Garrett would never draft Tim Tebow.

Jason Garrett also didn't pass up Dez Bryant for DeMaryius Thomas.

And Garrett didn't trade a franchise QB away.

I think we can all agree, in a word NO Garrett made some mistakes in my book but taht dont amount to a hill a beans when all said and done. McDaniels was bad and everyone told Denver dont do it.

Josh started hot as hell tho,i believe he was like 7-0 at one point?

Zorn went 6-0 and remember the Skin fans going nuts.

The only similarity that can conclusively be stated between Garrett and McDaniels is that their first name starts with the letter "J".

Also, Jason Garrett's not a dick.

FTW.

McDaniels was sent to Denver to destroy that team.

Trade away your franchise QB and pro-bowl receiver, pass up on the greatest WR prospect since Calvin Johnson for a WR from an option school in the ACC, then draft a QB that no other team would've taken until the 4th round.

Seems pretty intentional to me.

I bet this guy does not like Jason Garrett.

I bet I could look and find where he has been against him from the start.

not even close. two very different styles of coaching. Garrett is waaaay old school - discipline and preparation, careful calculation based on evalutation of all available options. McDaniels is the very opposite, shoots from the hip and makes decisions based on emotion. A very emotional style can be a good thing, but it is just way different than Garrett's approach.

On a more specific front, Garrett values the QB position, and would not have gotten rid of a decent quarterback.

Jimmy Johnson, who has a link to Garrett, did the same thing.

Better analogy.

Arrogance and hubris were McDaniels' downfall.

He thought that he didn't really need the players to build a winning team. His brilliance and his coaching alone were enough to ensure victory.

He was deluded into such grandiosity because he had Bellichek watching over his shoulder.

Maybe he'll learn his lesson and come back a better coach later but I suspect he was meant to be an offensive coordinator and not a HC.

Garrett has the benefit of having been a player and seems to have much better people skills so I don't think he'll fall into the same traps.

Josh McDaniels is a first class ******.

Garrett don't have that problem.

Ok, How do you feel about this, will Harbaugh or Fisher come in and right the ship......I for one am starting to wonder about Jason the red head Garrett... has he done a good job or his he merely mending the fences until the end of the season.

For me, I need to no.. and am sure Jerry Jones needs to no...what his plan is to fix the problems on this team. Beuhler or what ever his names is, should find a spot on the open market tonite. Show some heart and fire him ASAP.

Garrett needs to take command and be in Command. This is were I am questioning Jason Garrett. Does he have the authority,or the BALLS to do what has to be done to get this team in competition. Fisher, will most likely be availbale and I would love him to coach the Cowboys, But it will be a Short term solution.....Harbaugh...could be a hit or miss type guy and may want to blow up this team and start all over....Garrett has the edge, but will he have/does he have the Authoirity or BALLS to do what has to be done.....

I am starting to feel Jason is pandering to the players instead of coaching up the team to his capabilities.....what do you think .

McDaniels alienated the entire team the second he walked in the door. Everyone hated him. Garrett didn't do that. Garrett didn't do anything unreasonable. McDaniels did. McDaniels displayed a massive ego to his players and they didn't like that. Garrett doesn't do that. Garrett is without question a humble guy believes in hard work.

McDaniels != Garrett and vice versa.

Garrett >>>>>>>>>> McDaniels

I am not the least bit shocked. The problem with being negative about every aspect of the team is that you so often contradict yourself that you end up looking two faced.
