Jason Garrett wants a Pro-Bowl trade for long snapper
PHOENIX -- During Wednesday's Pro Bowl Draft, team captain Michael Irvin selected six Dallas Cowboys to fill out his roster. The Hall of Famer cited the continuity between the six offensive players as vital to his strategy.

DeMarco Murray, Tony Romo, Jason Witten, Travis Frederick, Tyron Smith and Zack Martin will all be coached by Jason Garrett, who said the draft "worked out great" for his team.

"I think it's fun for us," Garrett told Around The NFL after Friday's practice. "It's really an honor and a privilege as a coaching staff to be out here. It's well earned by our players and everyone who is out here. These guys literally are the best of the best on the planet at what they do."

The only drawback is that Cowboy long snapper L.P. LaDouceur was handpicked by the Baltimore Ravens' staff for Team Carter.

"L.P. is the long snapper for the other team, so we are thinking about making an eleventh-hour trade here, I don't know if that going to happen," Garrett said, laughing.

I think it is awesome that Irvin picked the all cowboys team. You know the fans of 31 other teams hate it. That makes it even better. The only downside, is if we don't win or at least play extremely well everyone will talk about how overrated our players are

I think there are about six Broncos on Team Irvin, too. Not sure, but they do have six pro bowlers. .

This shouldn't enter the mind of any intelligent fan. It's an exhibition game and the outcome means absolutely nothing. I'd much prefer that the pro bowl exist only on paper and not expose these guys to some freak injury.

I think if people just took the pro-bowl for what it is, it would be alot more enjoyable for them. Its like watching a bunch of "all stars" play backyard football. I'm not ashamed to say i enjoy its entertainment.

It's like the NHL all star games to me. Just fun to watch guys from different teams interact. The hockey scores get ridicules because there is basically no defense, scores like 12-10 or so. The players have a great time though. I'd love to see half the money donated to charity though.

i just want them to try a little like last year.....sheesh. It was much better. If the trend goes back the other way again...just do the events show.

I think they should go back to after the SB and keep it in Hawaii. It was always a reward to get a week in Hawaii for those guys and their families. Now the players on the SB teams can't go and that is usually like 10 players.

It just had a more relaxed feel during the week and they had those competitions like strongest and fastest man and the flag football game. No one is too concerned about the actual game, but they want to see the stars, not the third or fourth replacements.

far fewer people care after the superbowl, a lot of fans are ready for the break and watching it after the sb was always such a let down...as far as having it in hawaii, im sure it was a reward for the players but much much harder for fans to make it and interact. maybe they should give the pro-bowl winning team a trip to hawaii, that would be pretty awesome and good motivation

I agree. I enjoy watching the pro bowl. These guys don't take it seriously so why should I? All in good fun until the end when money is on the line.

Yea, I miss the days when this game actually meant something. Kinda like ole Barry eating a hot dog on the sideline.

I am worried something will happen to Romo tonight and off-season back surgery will be needed.

I think it's funny that Irvin got all the current and many former Cowboys, but did not draft Martellus Bennett. = )
